Inleiding
Voormalig KOETSHUIS, behorende tot het villacomplex "Jorullo", gebouwd in de Art Nouveau stijl rond 1901. Het voormalige koetshuis is terugliggend gesitueerd aan de oostzijde van het terrein met de voorzijde aan de H.J. Schimmellaan. Twee houten PIJLERS van het oorspronkelijke toegangshek zijn nog aanwezig aan de straatzijde.
NB.: De beschrijving is gemaakt op basis van de beschrijving in "Monumentenbeschrijving gemeente Bussum", dl 1 en 2, ir. R.G. Bosch van Drakestein, 1989, pagina 91, en de bouwtekeningen uit het BWT-archief uit 1987. De eigenaar gaf geen toestemming het voormalige koetshuis te bezoeken.
Omschrijving
Voormalig koetshuis, opgetrokken op een rechthoekige plattegrond met glazen plantenkassen aan de westzijde en uitbouw aan de noordwestzijde, bestaande uit een begane grond en zolderverdieping onder overstekend schilddak dat steunt op een houten schoorconstructie, bedekt met geglazuurde Hollandse pannen en met de noklijn haaks op de weg. De gevels zijn wit gepleisterd op een natuurstenen plint, terwijl tussen de plint en de onderdorpels oranje baksteen is toegepast. De voorgevel (Z) bevat op de begane grond een samengesteld venster in boogomlijsting, geflankeerd door een klein venster, op de zolderverdieping voormalige hooideuren. De gevel is gedeeltelijk doorgetrokken onder zadeldak, afgewerkt met hout. De linker zijgevel (W) bevat de glazen kas.
De rechter zijgevel (O) bevat links en rechts een stolpvenster met rondboogvormig bovenlicht. Daartussen is links een dubbel stolpvenster met bovenlichten en rechts een stolpvenster met bovenlicht geplaatst.
De achtergevel (N) bevat op de begane grond links en rechts een deur, in het midden een dubbel stolpvenster met bovenlichten. Op de zolderverdieping is een venster geplaatst. De gevel is gedeeltelijk doorgetrokken onder zadeldak, afgewerkt met hout.

Former COACH HOUSE, belonging to the villa complex "Jorullo", built in the Art Nouveau style around 1901. The former coach house is set back on the east side of the site with its front facing H.J. Schimmellaan. Two wooden PILLARS of the original entrance gate are still present on the street side.
NB.: The description was made on the basis of the description in "Monumentenbeschrijving gemeente Bussum", vol. 1 and 2, ir. R.G. Bosch van Drakestein, 1989, page 91, and the construction drawings from the BWT archive from 1987. The owner did not grant permission to visit the former coach house.
Description
Former coach house, erected on a rectangular floor plan with glazed plant houses on the west side and an extension on the north-west side, consisting of a ground floor and attic storey under an overhanging hipped roof supported by a wooden roof truss structure, covered with glazed Dutch tiles and with the ridge line at right angles to the road. The facades are white rendered on a natural stone plinth, while orange brickwork is used between the plinth and the window sills. The front facade (S) contains on the ground floor a composite window in an arched surround, flanked by a small window, on the attic storey former hay doors. The facade is partially continued under a gabled roof, finished with wood. The left side facade (W) contains the glass house.
The right side facade (E) contains on the left and right a sash window with semi-circular fanlight. Between these on the left a double sash window with fanlights and on the right a sash window with fanlight are placed.
The rear facade (N) contains on the ground floor on the left and right a door, in the centre a double sash window with fanlights. On the attic storey a window is placed. The facade is partially continued under a gabled roof, finished with wood.
Appreciation
The former coach house is of general importance on account of its cultural and architectural-historical value as a historically-functional component of the villa complex "Jorullo", on account of its ensemble value and as a well-preserved example of a coach house in Art Nouveau style, from the first half of the 20th century.
