Inleiding
Het ijzeren HEK aan de zuidzijde van de kerk geeft toegang tot het kerkhof. Het werd vermoedelijk gelijktijdig met de bouw van de kerk in 1864 geplaatst.

Het hekwerk is samengesteld uit twee gietijzeren gecanneleerde zuilen bekroond door een pijnappel; twee ijzeren draaihekken, waarvan de spijlen zijn voorzien van gietijzeren punten.

Het hek bij de kerk is van algemeen cultuurhistorisch belang:
- als contemporain en essentieel onderdeel van het complex,
