HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG behorende tot de buitenplaats Huis Oolde. In structuur en deels in detail gaaf bewaarde aanleg met een Engelse en Franse tuin, die rond 1871 naar ontwerp van H. Copijn is uitgevoerd. Op het huis Oolde is de ontwerptekening uit 1871 van zijn hand aanwezig. Voor het realiseren van de aanleg is de vierkante gracht rondom het huis gedempt en voor het huis een lusvormige oprit rondom een gazon aangelegd, conform de ideeën van de landschapsstijl. Schuin op het huis staat, komende vanaf het dorp Laren, een 17de-eeuwse met eiken beplante toegangslaan (Ooldselaan). Door de open aanleg voor het huis wordt, net voor de bocht in de laan, een verrassend zicht op het huis verkregen. De glooiende aanleg in landschapsstijl met vijverpartij is direct ten westen van het huis geconcentreerd. Een padenpatroon van ellipsen en ovalen leidt om een gazon met solitairen en boomgroepen, de vijver en een aangrenzende sierweide met een rondgaande laan die wisselende zichten biedt op het park en het landschap. Vanaf het huis loopt een fraai doorzicht naar deze sierweide. Er is tevens een doorzicht over de grote, grillig gevormde vijverpartij met eilandje en een schiereilandje, waar een hondengrafje is. Aan het water staan treurbomen. Achter het huis ligt een gazon met rododendronaanplant (recent) en ten noordoosten van het huis een parkbosje met beuken en restanten van oude beukenlanen. De omringende omgeving wordt middels doorzichten bij het huis betrokken. Ten oosten van het huis ligt de bloementuin in symmetrische stijl, waarvan de rechthoekige structuur nog aanwezig is evenals een restant van de geometrische aanleg met buxus. Aan de oostzijde wordt het rechthoekige compartiment afgesloten door een rododendrongroep. De combinatie van een symmetrische tuin en een landschappelijke parkaanleg is karakteristiek voor de gemengde stijl. Links van de oprijlaan is de rechthoekige moestuin gesitueerd, deze staat voor het eerst op de Topografische Militaire Kaart van 1929-1935 op huidige plaats aangegeven. De moestuin is geheel omhaagd. De rechthoekige overtuin aan de oostzijde van de Ooldselaan bestaat uit een parkbos met een rondgaand pad en twee slingerende paden die elkaar kruisen.

- vanwege de ouderdom;
- vanwege het laat 19de-eeuwse park met Engelse (landschappelijke) en Franse (symmetrische) tuin naar ontwerp van H. Copijn (1871) waarvan de hoofdstructuur nog gaaf herkenbaar is;
- als goed voorbeeld van een aanleg in gemengde stijl, die in de late-19de-eeuw in zwang was;

Description
HISTORIC GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT belonging to the country estate Huis Oolde. A well-preserved layout in structure and partly in detail, with an English and French garden, which was executed around 1871 after a design by H. Copijn. A design drawing from 1871 in his hand is present at Huis Oolde. To realize the layout, the square moat surrounding the house was filled in and a loop-shaped drive around a lawn was laid out in front of the house, in accordance with the ideas of the landscape style. At an angle to the house, coming from the village of Laren, stands a 17th-century access avenue planted with oak trees (Ooldselaan). Through the open layout in front of the house, just before the bend in the avenue, a surprising view of the house is obtained. The undulating landscape-style layout with pond feature is concentrated directly to the west of the house. A pattern of paths in ellipses and ovals leads around a lawn with solitary trees and tree groups, the pond and an adjoining ornamental meadow with a circulating avenue that offers changing views of the park and the landscape. From the house runs a fine vista towards this ornamental meadow. There is also a vista over the large, irregularly shaped pond feature with an islet and a peninsula, where a dog's grave is located. Weeping trees stand at the water's edge. Behind the house lies a lawn with rhododendron planting (recent) and to the northeast of the house a small park wood with beeches and remnants of old beech avenues. The surrounding environment is incorporated by means of vistas from the house. To the east of the house lies the flower garden in symmetrical style, of which the rectangular structure is still present as well as a remnant of the geometric layout with box. On the east side, the rectangular compartment is closed off by a rhododendron group. The combination of a symmetrical garden and a landscape park layout is characteristic of the mixed style. To the left of the drive is the rectangular kitchen garden, which is first indicated on the Topographic Military Map of 1929-1935 in its present location. The kitchen garden is completely enclosed by hedges. The rectangular kitchen garden to the east of the Ooldselaan consists of a park wood with a circulating path and two winding paths that intersect each other.
