Inleiding
WOONHUIS, dat in de kern dateert uit het tweede kwart van de negentiende eeuw. In 1910 en in 1935 vonden er belangrijke verbouwingen plaats, waarbij de voorgevel werd gemoderniseerd in Um 1800-stijl. Omschrijving
Het halfvrijstaande twee en een halflaagse pand heeft vijf vensterassen en bezit een afgeplat schilddak met zwarte betonpannen.
De gevel is opgetrokken uit machinale baksteen, die in subtiel reliëf is onderverdeeld door lisenen op de hoeken, tussen de vensters en bij de centraal geplaatste paneeldeur. Deze lisenen zijn gemetseld met klezoortjes. Naast de deur staan lage baksteen blokken met hardsteen afdekplaat. Het bovenlicht is voorzien van snijwerk in de verticale stijlen en daarboven een ruitpatroon. De vierentwintigruits schuifvensters hebben rechte hardsteen dorpels. Onder de vensters is een dubbele rollaag, daar boven een enkele rollaag ter afsluiting. De borstweringen zijn aangegeven met behulp van deels uitgemetselde, deels ingemetselde baksteen laagjes. De vensters op de verdieping worden afgesloten met een variant op de hanekam. In de iets uitgemetselde kroonlijst zijn tweelichts mezzaninovensters geplaatst, de middelste travee is leeg gelaten.
De gootlijst staat op robuuste klossen. Boven de middentravee een getoogde tweelichts dakkapel met lisenen en schouders met hardsteen blokjes. Inwendig wordt het huis door een middengang doorsneden. Links een kamer en suite met eenvoudige schoorsteenmantels en stucplafonds, rechts een kleinere voorkamer met stucplafond.
Waardering
Het pand is van algemeen belang. Het heeft cultuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van de typologische ontwikkeling van het stedelijk woonhuis in de periode kort voor en na 1900. Het heeft architectuurhistorisch belang als voorbeeld van de Um 1800-stijl, met een zeer verzorgde detaillering van metselwerk en raamvormen en enkele sobere Expressionistische motieven. Het is gaaf bewaard gebleven en betrekkelijk zeldzaam.

The semi-detached two and a half-storey property has five window bays and possesses a flattened hipped roof with black concrete tiles.
The facade is built of machine-made brick, which is subdivided in subtle relief by pilasters on the corners, between the windows and at the centrally placed panel door. These pilasters are laid with decorative brick. Next to the door stand low brick blocks with limestone capping. The fanlight is provided with carved work in the vertical stiles and above it a pattern of panes. The twenty-four-pane sash windows have straight limestone sills. Below the windows is a double band course, above that a single band course as terminus. The brickwork between floors is indicated by means of partly projecting, partly recessed brick bands. The windows on the floor are terminated with a variant of the roofline course. In the slightly projecting cornice two-light mezzanine windows are placed, the middle bay is left empty.
The drip moulding stands on robust corbels. Above the middle bay an arched two-light dormer window with pilasters and shoulders with limestone blocks. Internally the house is divided by a central passage. On the left a suite of rooms with simple fireplace mantels and stucco ceilings, on the right a smaller front room with stucco ceiling.
Valuation
The property is of general importance. It has cultural-historical value as an example of the typological development of the urban residence in the period shortly before and after 1900. It has architectural-historical importance as an example of Circa 1800 style, with very carefully detailed brickwork and window forms and some austere Expressionist motifs. It has remained well preserved and is relatively rare.
