PASTORIE, gebouwd rond 1910 voor de O.L.Vrouwe ten Hemelopneming kerk. De architect was Jos. Margry.
Omschrijving
De tweelaagse pastorie heeft een H-vormige plattegrond en een daarmee corresponderend dak met leien in maasdekking. De gevel is opgetrokken uit bruine machinale baksteen. De plint en de dorpels van de schuifvensters zijn van hardsteen. De bovenlichten zijn in kleine roeden verdeeld. Boven de twee vensters van de linker risaliet is een erker. In de linkertravee van het drie vensterassen tellende inspringende middengedeelte is de deur in een rondboogportiek geplaatst. De paneeldeur is voorzien van kussens en een smeedijzeren sierrooster. De drie vensters van de rechter risaliet zijn boogvormig uitgebouwd over de twee lagen. In de topgevels links en rechts bevindt zich een staand ovaal venster met kleine roedenverdeling.
In het middelste dakvlak en in dat van de zijgevels is een dakkapel met sterk hellend lessenaardak gezet.
Waardering
De pastorie is van algemeen belang. Het gebouw heeft cultuurhistorische waarden als uiting van de ontwikkeling van het katholicisme en de dominantie van het parochieel centrum in een industriestad. Het gebouw is tevens van architectuurhistorisch belang als voorbeeld van het werk van de architect Margry. Het gebouw heeft ensemblewaarden als onderdeel van het gehele complex. Het geheel is gaaf bewaard gebleven.

The two-storey parsonage has an H-shaped floor plan and a corresponding roof with slates in Maas bond. The facade is built of brown machine-made brick. The plinth and sills of the sash windows are of hardstone. The fanlights are divided into small glazing bars. Above the two windows of the left risalite is a bay window. In the left bay of the three-window-axis recessed central section is the door placed in a round-arched porch. The panel door is fitted with panels and a wrought-iron decorative grille. The three windows of the right risalite are arched outwards over the two storeys. In the gables at top left and right is a standing oval window with small glazing bars.
In the central roof plane and in that of the side gables is a roof dormer with steeply pitched lean-to roof set.
