GYMNASTIEKLOKAAL, onderdeel van complex Montessorischool aan de Albrecht Dürerstraat 36 te Amsterdam.
Omschrijving
Op een rechthoekige plattegrond tot stand gekomen gymnastieklokaal bestaande uit een bouwlaag onder een plat dak. De oostgevel aan de tuinzijde bestaat in zijn geheel uit een rij stolpdeuren en kan over de gehele lengte worden geopend. Aan de straatzijde twee identieke T-vensters met bovenlichten. Onder deze vensters is de gevel verder opgevuld met metselwerk. Onder de dakrand een fries van metselwerk.
Waardering
Gymnastieklokaal van algemeen nationaal belang als historisch-functioneel onderdeel van het complex Montessorischool naar ontwerp van Van Tijen.

Gymnastics hall created on a rectangular floor plan consisting of one storey under a flat roof. The east facade on the garden side consists entirely of a row of double doors and can be opened along its entire length. On the street side two identical T-windows with fanlights. Below these windows the facade is further filled with masonry. Under the roof edge a frieze of masonry.
