Inleiding
WOONHUIS behorend bij Boerderij Imstenrade. Het woonhuis werd omstreeks 1910 gebouwd. De bouwstijl is traditionalistisch met elementen van Chaletstijl.
Het woonhuis werd gebouwd in opdracht van dhr. F. Schepens, de scheepsreder die tevens opdracht gaf voor de bouw van de Villa Imstenrade.
De naoorlogse aan- en bijbouwen zijn uitgesloten van bescherming.
Omschrijving
Woonhuis met bedrijfsruimte op een rechthoekige plattegrond. Het pand telt twee bouwlagen en wordt afgedekt met een zadeldak met Tuiles du Nord. Zadeldak met wolfseinden. Dakgoot op houten consoles. Vier dakkapellen.
Gecementeerde plint. Optrek in baksteen. Metselwerk in kruisverband. Rechthoekige en segmentboogvormige houten vensters met roedeverdeling. Rechthoekige houten deuren deels van omstreeks 1970. Woonhuisvensters in een hardstenen omlijsting en in de eerste bouwlaag voorzien van houten luiken. Overige vensters deels met hardstenen dorpelstenen en lateien.
Frontgevel en linkerzijgevel met speklagen.
Asymmetrische indeling FRONTGEVEL. RECHTERDEEL van het pand het woonhuisgedeelte. LINKERDEEL van het pand met bedrijfsruimte. Middendeel frontgevel uitlopend in een topgevel met hierin twee vensters en afgedekt met een zadeldak met Tuiles du Nord. Topgevel met hierin houten raamwerk. Deur van omstreeks 1970 in een hardstenen omlijsting. Entree onder een houten luifel met lessenaarsdak. Luifel rust op houten kolommen. Deze kolommen zijn op een natuurstenen muurtje geplaatst. Entree met twee hardstenen treden en granitovloertje. In dit vloertje in mozaïek de naam : Hof Imstenrade. In de RECHTERZIJGEVEL in de tweede bouwlaag twee rechthoekige vensters in een hardstenen omlijsting. Aan rechterzijgevel een uitbouw in een bouwlaag met lessenaarsdak. Uitbouw iets terugliggend. In de eerste bouwlaag twee rechthoekige houten deuren en een venster. Aan bovenzijde venster twee ronde openingen. Deze uitbouw verbonden met een bijbouw. Deze bijbouw telt een bouwlaag onder een zadeldak. In de kopgevel een rechthoekige houten deur met aan weerszijden drie smalle venstertjes met hardstenen dorpelstenen en lateien. Frontgevel uitlopend in topgevel met hierin een rechthoekig houten luik met rondboogvormig bovenlicht. Bovenlicht deels met hardstenen omlijsting. In de zijgevels kleine venstertjes. BEDRIJFSGEDEELTE met in eerste bouwlaag twee rechthoekige houten poorten. Linkerfrontgeveldeel uitlopend in topgevel met in de tweede bouwlaag en in topgevel een rechthoekig houten luik. In de LINKERZIJGEVEL een rechthoekige houten poort in een hardstenen omlijsting. In de topgevel linkerzijgevel een ronde opening.
Aan de linkerzijgevel een aanbouw in een bouwlaag met lessenaarsdak. Speklagen. Middendeel frontgevel met in de eerste bouwlaag twee rechthoekige vensters. Dit geveldeel uitlopend in een topgevel met zadeldak. Topgevel met hierin een rechthoekig venster en met houten raamwerk. Rechterdeel frontgevel met twee houten poorten. Linkerdeel frontgevel met twee vensters. De structuur van het INTERIEUR is beperkt in tact.
Aan de straatzijde smeedijzeren toegangshekwerk tussen twee bakstenen kolommen met ezelsrug afdekking. Aan weerszijden van de poort een lage bakstenen muur met ezelsrug met hierop een smeedijzeren hekwerk.
Waardering
Het pand bezit cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzondere uitdrukking van een sociaal-economische en typologische ontwikkeling. Architectuurhistorische waarde ontleent het pand aan het bijzondere belang voor de bovenregionale geschiedenis van de architectuur en wegens de bijzondere ornamentiek. Het pand is tevens stilistisch van belang; vanwege de behouden authenticiteit en het toegepaste streekeigen bouwmateriaal en als markant voorbeeld van landelijke bouwkunst.
Het pand bezit ensemblewaarde als essentieel onderdeel van een groter complex dat cultuurhistorisch van belang is. Het pand is tenslotte van algemeen belang wegens de redelijke mate van architectonische gaafheid van het exterieur en de typologische zeldzaamheid.

Front facade terminating in top gable with within it a rectangular wooden shutter with a round-arched fanlight. Fanlight partly with stone surround. In the side facades small windows. BUSINESS SECTION with on the first storey two rectangular wooden doors. Left front facade section terminating in top gable with on the second storey and in top gable a rectangular wooden shutter. In the LEFT SIDE FACADE a rectangular wooden door in a stone surround. In the top gable left side facade a round opening.
On the left side facade an extension with one storey and shed roof. Speckled coursing. Middle section of front facade with on the first storey two rectangular windows. This facade section terminating in a top gable with gabled roof. Top gable with within it a rectangular window and with wooden window frame. Right section of front facade with two wooden doors. Left section of front facade with two windows. The structure of the INTERIOR is limited in intact condition.
On the street side wrought-iron entrance gates between two brick columns with saddle-back coping. On either side of the gate a low brick wall with saddle-back with wrought-iron fencing upon it.
Valuation
