Waardering

Valuation
The former miners' dwellings are of cultural-historical value as a particular expression of a socio-economic and typological development. The properties were designed specifically for miners, entirely fitting within the hierarchical structure that applied at the time. The large gardens belonging to the properties served not only for recreation but also for growing one's own vegetables.
The properties possess architectural-historical value because of their particular significance for the history of working-class housing.
The properties derive ensemble value from their location within a complex of a total of twenty dwellings on gently sloping ground and are important for the appearance of this part of Hoensbroek, while the presence of gardens (as a reminder of the specific provisions for miners) is considered historically significant. The properties are of general importance because of a reasonable degree of architectural integrity of the exterior and a high degree of architectural-historical and typological rarity; furthermore, the properties are of considerable age.
