Omschrijving complexonderdeel 1
Het centraal in de tuin gesitueerde blokvormig neoclassicistisch HERENHUIS, gebouwd in 1857-1858, bestaat uit twee bouwlagen en een mezzanino onder een gedrukt pannen gedekt schilddak. De in baksteen opgetrokken gevels worden omlijst door een grijsgepleisterde plint en zandkleurig gepleisterde hoeklisenen en kroonlijst voorzien van decoratieve consoles op de gevelhoeken. Een gepleisterde cordonlijst ter hoogte van de verdiepingsvloer zorgt voor een horizontale geleding. De voorgevel (zuidzijde) is drie traveeën breed en heeft over de volle breedte een veranda met gietijzeren zuiltjes en decoratief smeedwerk. Drie stel tuindeuren met bovenlichten geven toegang tot de veranda. Op de verdieping is in het midden een balkon met een smeedijzeren hekwerk aangebracht. De balkondeuren worden omlijst door gepleisterde dubbele pilasters die een architraaf, doorbroken door een gebogen fronton dragen. Aan weerszijden is een hoog zesruitsschuifvenster aangebracht.
In de rechterzijgevel bevindt zich de ingang met een uitgebouwd portiek, bestaande uit twee vierkante zuilen met een architraaf waarop de naam 'Kop en Hagen' staat vermeld. Rechts en links hiervan is een zesruits venster aangebracht en op de verdieping drie draaivensters.
De linkerzijgevel bevat op de begane grond drie zesruitschuifvensters en op verdieping twee draaivensters en een blind venster in het midden. De achtergevel is met uitzondering van één venster (van de keuken) en de vensters van het trappenhuis blind. De tweede travee van rechts is lichtrisalerend en is voorzien van een kleine uitbouw onder een plat dak, bereikbaar via een gemetselde stoep. Hierboven is een rondboogvenster en een gekoppeld venster geplaatst (van het trappenhuis).
Alle vensters zijn voorzien van een natuurstenen onderdorpel en gepleisterde omlijsting van pilasters met architraaf. De vensters op de begane grond hebben luiken.
De gepleisterde kroonlijst bevat rondom vierkante mezzaninovensters met een terra-cotta ventilatierooster.
Vestibule en gang beschikken over een marmeren vloer. De houten trappen zijn voorzien van een houten leuning en gietijzeren traphekspijlen. De salon linksvoor (zuidwestzijde) op de begane grond heeft een in vakken verdeeld stucplafond met medaillons voorzien van florale motieven in pasteltinten, een houten kooflijst groen / goud geschilderd en een marmeren neo-Lodewijk XVI schouw en spiegel met vergulde lijst.
De grote kamer rechtsvoor (zuidoostzijde) heeft een zwart marmeren schouw onder het raam in de zijgevel (vanwege de symmetrie), waarvan de opening naar het rookkanaal zich in de linkerzijwand van de schouw bevindt en niet in de achterwand.
Het huis is aan de achterzijde onderkelderd met gewelven.
De zolder bevat een afgetimmerde dienstbodenkamer.

The blocky neoclassical TOWNHOUSE situated centrally in the garden, built in 1857-1858, consists of two storeys and a mezzanine under a flattened tile-covered hipped roof. The facades constructed of brick are framed by a grey-plastered plinth and sand-coloured plastered corner pilasters and cornice provided with decorative consoles on the gable corners. A plastered cordon moulding at the level of the floor of the upper storey provides horizontal articulation. The front facade (south side) is three bays wide and has a veranda across the full width with cast-iron columns and decorative wrought ironwork. Three sets of garden doors with fanlights give access to the veranda. On the upper floor, a balcony with wrought-iron railings is arranged in the centre. The balcony doors are framed by plastered double pilasters bearing an entablature, interrupted by a curved pediment. On either side is a tall six-pane sash window.
In the right side facade is the entrance with a projecting porch, consisting of two square columns with an entablature on which the name 'Kop en Hagen' is inscribed. To the right and left of this is a six-pane window and on the upper floor three casement windows.
The left side facade contains three six-pane sash windows on the ground floor and on the upper floor two casement windows and a blind window in the centre. The rear facade is, with the exception of one window (of the kitchen) and the windows of the staircase, blind. The second bay from the right is slightly projecting and is provided with a small extension under a flat roof, accessible via a brick step. The house is undercellared at the rear with barrel vaults.
The attic contains a fitted servant's room.
