Omschrijving
De PASTORIE bij de Nederlands Hervormde kerk is een in Eclectische stijl gebouwd blokhuis uit 1875. Het door architect D.D. Duursma ontworpen pand is symmetrisch van opzet. Met uitzondering van de geheel gepleisterde achtergevel zijn de gevels opgetrokken in bruine bakstenen op uitgemetseld trasraam, onder een afgeknot schilddak, gedekt met zwarte platte Friese pannen; gepleisterd attiek met verdiepte rechthoekige vlakken.
Zowel voor- als achtergevel hebben gepleisterde, vijfkantige hoekpilasters, waarop een vaas van stuc staat. De pilasters worden herhaald bij de centrale ingangspartij. Deze bestaat uit een hoog opgaande gevel waarin een omlijste vernieuwde deur met bovenlicht; daarboven een kajuit met een drielichtsvenster; Frans balkon met een decoratief gietijzeren hek. Attiek op de kajuit met kuifwerk en twee vazen. Twee gevelstenen aan weerszijden van de entree met de tekst: "De eerste steen aan deze pastorie is gelegd door Rijpke Tjerks Atsma Jr: den 23 Junij 1875, D.D. Duursma, architect en J. Pijkstra, aannemer", en: "Deze pastorie is gesticht onder het beheer der kerkvoogden Tjerk Rijpkes Atsma, Dirk Gjalts Reitsma, Binne Roelofs Reeling, Predikant van Alhier, Willem Frederik Bluggel." Aan weerszijden van de ingang getoogde H-vensters met gepleisterde omlijsting die is verbreed rond de bovenlichten; een gepleisterde cordonlijst verbindt de houten onderdorpels met elkaar. The MANSE attached to the Dutch Reformed church is a block house built in Eclectic style in 1875. The building, designed by architect D.D. Duursma, is symmetrical in layout. With the exception of the completely rendered rear facade, the facades are constructed in brown brick on brick-built travertine frame, under a clipped hipped roof, covered with black flat Frisian tiles; rendered attic with recessed rectangular panels.
Both front and rear facades have rendered, pentagonal corner pilasters, on which a stucco vase stands. The pilasters are repeated at the central entrance arrangement. This consists of a tall rising facade in which a framed renewed door with fanlight; above it a cabin with a three-light window; French balcony with a decorative cast-iron railing. Attic on the cabin with crest work and two vases. Two tablets on either side of the entrance with the text: "The first stone of this manse was laid by Rijpke Tjerks Atsma Jr: on 23 Junij 1875, D.D. Duursma, architect and J. The layout of the FLOOR PLAN has undergone little alteration.
