Inleiding
HEKWERK uit het derde kwart van de 19de eeuw in Ambachtelijk- traditionele bouwtrant, ten oosten van de dienstwoning, Hoogstraat 80, dat als erfafscheiding dient tussen de Hoogstraat en het boezemgemaal 'De Hooge Boezem achter Haastrecht'. Het is identiek aan het hekwerk (1) bij het gemaal, Hoogstraat 31.
Omschrijving
Op een uit grauwe baksteen opgetrokken plint met een rollaag staat een deels gietijzeren, deels smeedijzeren spijlen hekwerk.
Waardering
Het hekwerk is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde en ensemblewaarde als ruimtelijke en functioneel onderdeel van het complex van het boezemgemaal 'De Hooge Boezem achter Haastrecht'.

FENCE from the third quarter of the 19th century in Craftsman-traditional building style, to the east of the service dwelling, Hoogstraat 80, serving as boundary fence between the Hoogstraat and the boezem pumping station 'De Hooge Boezem achter Haastrecht'. It is identical to the fence (1) at the pumping station, Hoogstraat 31.
Description
On a plinth of grey brick with a roll course stands a partly cast-iron, partly wrought-iron paling fence.
Valuation
The fence is of general interest on account of its cultural- and architectural-historical value and ensemble value as a spatial and functional component of the complex of the boezem pumping station 'De Hooge Boezem achter Haastrecht'.
