SCHATHUIS. Aan de noordoostzijde van het voorplein staat een in oorsprong 17de-eeuws schathuis, dat omstreeks 1925 is verkleind en verbouwd tot woning en theeschenkerij door de architect A.R.Wittop Koning. Bij de verbouwing is de noordwestgevel vernieuwd en enkele meters naar binnen geplaatst, de zuidoostgevel heeft zijn 17de-eeuwse karakter bewaard. In deze gevel een gevelsteen met het jaartal 1686. Het op rechthoekige grondslag opgetrokken pand bestaat uit één bouwlaag met kapverdieping onder een met rode Oud-Hollandse pannen gedekt zadeldak met afluiving aan de achtergevel. In de voorgevel aan de voorpleinzijde een asymmetrisch geplaatste toegangspartij met bovenlichten. De dubbele inrijdeuren zijn gevat in een houten omlijsting voorzien van een geschulpte bovendorpel. Rechts hiervan een venster, links een gekoppeld venster en een toegangsdeur die toegang geeft tot de woning met drie vensters. De vrij gaaf bewaarde 17de-eeuwse zuidoostgevel kent een regelmatige gevelindeling met smalle kloosterkozijnen, zogenaamde Groninger vensters, en vensterlichten met roedenverdeling en luik.

TREASURE HOUSE. On the north-east side of the forecourt stands a treasure house originally dating from the 17th century, which around 1925 was reduced in size and converted into a dwelling and tea house by the architect A.R. Wittop Koning. During the conversion the north-west facade was renewed and moved inward several metres, the south-east facade has retained its 17th-century character. In this facade a facade stone with the date 1686. The building erected on a rectangular ground plan consists of one storey with a loft storey under a gabled roof covered with red Old Dutch tiles with a lean-to at the rear facade. In the front facade on the forecourt side an asymmetrically placed entrance section with fanlights. The double entrance doors are set in a wooden frame provided with a carved upper soffit. To the right of this a window, to the left a paired window and an entrance door providing access to the dwelling with three windows. The fairly well-preserved 17th-century south-east facade has a regular facade arrangement with narrow cloister windows, so-called Groningen windows, and window lights with glazing bars and shutters.
