Gietijzeren HEKWEK uit het midden van de 19de eeuw bestaat uit een eenvoudig spijlen hek, dat aan de straatzijde (noordwest) voorzien is van gecanneleerde pijlers met wit geschilderde pijnappelvormige bekroningen.

Het hekwerk is van algemeen belang vanwege de cultuurhistorische waarde als voorbeeld van een midden 19de-eeuws sober vormgegeven hekwerk, dat tevens situationele- en ensemblewaarde heeft, doordat het de entree markeert van de tegen de dijk aangebouwde begraafplaats, waarmee het ruimtelijk en functioneel is verbonden.

Cast-iron FENCE from the middle of the 19th century consists of a simple paling fence, which on the street side (north-west) is provided with fluted pillars with whitewashed pine-cone-shaped finials.
Valuation
The fence is of general interest because of its cultural-historical value as an example of a mid-19th-century soberly designed fence, which also has situational and ensemble value, as it marks the entrance to the cemetery built against the dike, with which it is spatially and functionally connected.
