MAIN BUILDING 't Klaphek is situated at the highest point of the grounds and forms the centrepiece of the layout. A country house of mid-19th century date standing on a square ground plan in classical style, incorporating older components from a preceding farmhouse. The house is composed of three building blocks arranged in U-shape with a connecting intermediate section (kitchen), of which the eastern part is the oldest, possibly still 17th-century. The building is fully rendered and has a three-sided hipped roof, covered with blue tiles. The intermediate section with kitchen part is covered with a flat roof. The facades contain windows with eight- and six-pane divisions fitted with shutters. The south facade of four bays wide has a risalit at the level of the middle two bays containing French doors and a simple balcony. The west facade has a garden room with zinc gutter roof and with roedeverdeling windows and cast-iron columns. The three-bay-wide east facade contains the entrance and has in the roof plane a small roof dormer. The facades are terminated by a simple moulded cornice. Access to the kitchens is on the north side. Bell on roof plane. In the interior a corridor runs from the front door in the east facade, laid with marble slabs. Behind the front door a small vestibule. On the left side (south) two rooms, on the right side (north) four rooms, in the middle the staircase and behind the dining room. Windows with window seats, sash shutters and folding shutters. Cellar with grey floor tiles and covered with a barrel vault parallel to the front facade (17th-century). The staircase up has a base baluster with two stretched S-volutes. The stairwell is provided with a side light and fanlight of leaded glass. On the first floor bedrooms and a study room on the south side with a marble fireplace containing a patent stove. French doors to the balcony. The attic contains the servants' rooms and a wooden bed-alcove.
