Ten oosten van de Lotweg gelegen HEKWERK dat de toegang vormt tot het complex "Oosterwijk".
Het uit smeedijzer opgetrokken en donkerblauw geverfde hekwerk bestaat uit twee draaihekken welke aan ijzeren pijlers zijn bevestigd. De hekken draaien naar binnen toe open. De draaiende delen van het hekwerk lopen naar het midden toe geleidelijk af. Dit hekwerkgedeelte bestaat uit spijlen met speerpunten.
De pijlers waaraan het draaiende deel van het hekwerk is bevestigd bestaan uit twee ronde kolommen welke met een eikel zijn bekroond. Tussen deze twee kolommen in bevindt zich een stuk hekwerk ter breedte van vijf spijlen. De pijlers worden aan respectievelijk de noord- en zuidzijde afgesloten door een in smeedijzer uitgevoerde voluut.
In de linkerpijler (noord) staat op de kolommen, net onder de eikels, in goudkleurige letters "ANNO" en "OOSTER".
In de rechterpijler (zuid) staat op de kolommen, eveneens net onder de eikels, in goudkleurige letters "WIJK" en "1861".

Het hekwerk is van algemeen belang vanwege architectuur- en cultuurhistorische waarde als historisch-functioneel onderdeel van het complex "Oosterwijk".

Ironwork located east of the Lotweg that forms the entrance to the complex "Oosterwijk".
The ironwork, constructed from wrought iron and painted dark blue, consists of two swing gates which are attached to iron pillars. The gates open inward. The moving parts of the ironwork taper gradually towards the middle. This section of ironwork consists of spikes with spear points.
The pillars to which the moving part of the ironwork is attached consist of two round columns which are crowned with an acorn. Between these two columns is a section of ironwork the width of five spikes. The pillars are closed on the north and south sides respectively by a volute executed in wrought iron.
On the left pillar (north) are inscribed on the columns, just below the acorns, in gold-coloured letters "ANNO" and "OOSTER".
On the right pillar (south) are inscribed on the columns, likewise just below the acorns, in gold-coloured letters "WIJK" and "1861".
Valuation
The ironwork is of general importance on account of its architectural and cultural-historical value as a historic-functional component of the complex "Oosterwijk".
