Het KOETSHUIS van Huis Scherpenzeel is eveneens ontworpen door S.A. van Lunteren in 1857 en ligt iets ten zuidwesten van het huis langs de gebogen laan die beide entrees aan de Royaardslaan verbindt. Het koetshuis is ontworpen in dezelfde neogotische stijl als het huis. Het koetshuis bestaat uit drie parallelle vleugels onder met pannen gedekte zadeldaken. In het middelste bouwdeel, dat iets terugligt, bevinden zich de inrijpoorten. Het gebouw telt een verdieping waarin gekoppelde vensters met diagonale tracering, dubbele deuren en staldeuren. In de geveltoppen gekoppelde rondboogvensters. De gevels zijn gepleisterd zonder opvallende detaillering. Description
The COACH HOUSE of Huis Scherpenzeel was likewise designed by S.A. van Lunteren in 1857 and is situated somewhat to the southwest of the house along the curved lane that connects both entrances to the Royaardslaan. The coach house is designed in the same neo-gothic style as the house. The coach house consists of three parallel wings under gabled roofs covered with tiles. In the middle building section, which is set back slightly, are located the carriage entrance gates. The building has one storey with paired windows with diagonal tracery, double doors and stable doors. In the gable tops paired round-arch windows. The facades are plastered without striking detailing. In the middle of the left side facade are two pairs of double doors with a wooden canopy on cast-iron columns and with cast-iron openwork decoration. In the late 1970s the coach house was restored and converted for office use. The interior has no special features.
