HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG. Tijdens de verbouwing van het huis rond 1850 is ook de omgeving grondig aangepakt. De tuinarchitect K.G. Zocher heeft een park gemaakt met waterpartijen en slingerpaden. Centraal in de aanleg ligt het huis op een omgracht eiland. Links van het huis ligt een smalle bosstrook. Rechts van het huis ligt de moestuin. Deze is ook te bereiken via een entree aan de oprijlaan. Deze entree heeft twee bakstenen vierkante pijlers met natuursteen bol. De huidige tuinmuur bestaat uit betonnen elementen en heeft geen historische waarde. Achter de moestuin is in het laatste kwart van de 20ste eeuw een hoogstamboomgaard aangelegd. Via de achterlaan en een brug ten zuidoosten van het huis betreedt men het eigenlijke park met rechte en gebogen paden in een aangelegd bosperceel. In dit perceel zijn ook enkele waterpartijen aangelegd. Tot de aanleg behoort de 17de eeuwse oprijlaan, begeleid door eiken, met aan de provinciale weg twee bakstenen, vierkante pijlers in dezelfde uitvoering als bij de moestuin. Deze pijlers worden bekroond door een siervaas in natuursteen. De oprijlaan en de achterlaan zijn omstreeks 1850 volgens een plan van tuinarchitect Zocher bestraat met oude waalstenen. Het betreffende plan bevindt zich in het Rijksarchief in Arnhem. De originele bestrating (bol en 'vast' gelegd met afgeronde kantjes) is tot op heden gaaf bewaard. Langs de oprijlaan ligt een dienstwoning met de voorgevel evenwijdig aan de laan. De grenzen zijn zo getrokken dat de aanleg, zoals die zich tot en met de 19de eeuw ontwikkeld heeft, beschermd wordt. De agrarische bebouwing rond het huis heeft een historisch-functionele en visuele relatie met het huis, die zich vertaalt in een specifieke positionering in de aanleg. Boerderij Waterweg 1 ligt prominent naast de entree naar de buitenplaats, aan het begin van de oprijlaan. Op boerderij Oldenallerallee 5 is vanuit het huis een zichtas geprojecteerd.

HISTORIC GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT. During the conversion of the house around 1850 the surroundings were also thoroughly worked on. Garden architect K.G. Zocher created a park with water features and winding paths. The house lies centrally in the layout on a moated island. To the left of the house lies a narrow wooded strip. To the right of the house lies the kitchen garden. This is also accessible via an entrance on the drive. This entrance has two brick square pillars with natural stone ball. The current garden wall consists of concrete elements and has no historical value. Behind the kitchen garden a standard fruit tree orchard was planted in the last quarter of the 20th century. Via the rear drive and a bridge south-east of the house one enters the actual park with straight and curved paths in a planted wooded plot. Several water features are also laid out in this plot. The layout includes the 17th-century drive, lined by oaks, with two brick square pillars at the provincial road in the same execution as at the kitchen garden. These pillars are crowned by a decorative vase in natural stone. The drive and rear drive were paved around 1850 according to a plan by garden architect Zocher with old Dutch wall tiles. The plan in question is held in the State Archive in Arnhem. The original paving (domed and 'fixed' with rounded edges) has been preserved intact to this day. Along the drive lies a service dwelling with the front facade parallel to the drive. The boundaries are drawn so that the layout, as it developed through to the 19th century, is protected.
