Omschrijving
Het omstreeks 1850-80 gebouwde WOONHUIS ANNEX BOLLENSCHUUR van het complex Van Eeden heeft een langgerekte rechthoekige plattegrond en bestaat uit een tweelaags woonhuis onder afgeknot schilddak, een lager tussenlid en een éénlaags bollenschuur onder mansardekap met rode Hollandse pannen. De eenvoudige lijstgevel van het woonhuis aan de Voorstraat (oost) is opgetrokken in roodbruine baksteen met horizontale sierbanden van gele baksteen en gepleisterde plint, cordonlijsten en strekken. De gevel telt drie vensterassen met in de linker een paneeldeur onder getoogd bovenlicht met glas-in-loodraam. De getoogde schuifvensters op de begane grond hebben eveneens glas-in-lood in de bovenlichten, op de verdieping rechte vensters met bovenlicht. Centraal in het dakschild een dakkapel met frontonbekroning en een venster met vierruits horizontale roedenverdeling (1920). De lange noordgevel met zware gevelankers is geheel wit gepleisterd. In het woonhuisgedeelte rechte schuifvensters, in het tussenlid grote vernieuwde vensters en een deur, in de bollenschuur een samengesteld kozijn van drie zesruits vensters. De puntgevel van de bollenschuur (west) heeft een centrale deur, geflankeerd door zesruits droogdeuren. Twee droogdeuren in de geveltop met boven de rechter een hijsbalk. In de gepleisterde zuidgevel een vergelijkbaar venster. De rest van deze gevel gaat schuil achter het buurpand nr. 120. Op de zolder zijn de droogstellingen bewaard gebleven.
Waardering
Het woonhuis annex bollenschuur is van algemeen belang wegens cultuur- en architectuurhistorische waarde als hoofdonderdeel van het complex Van Eeden als representatief voorbeeld van de laat negentiende-eeuwse bollenteeltgebouwen in Nederland en wegens de typologie en de redelijke mate van gaafheid in hoofdvorm, materiaalgebruik en detaillering van het exterieur. In de bollenschuur is een deel van de droogstellingen bewaard gebleven.
Tevens heeft dit gebouw ensemblewaarde in relatie met de overige complex-onderdelen en de bijzondere situering aan de Voorstraat in het beschermde dorpsgezicht van Noordwijk-Binnen.

The RESIDENTIAL HOUSE ANNEX BULB-DRYING SHED of the Van Eeden complex, built around 1850-80, has an elongated rectangular floor plan and consists of a two-storey residential house under a hipped roof with clipped corners, a lower connecting section and a single-storey bulb-drying shed under a mansard roof with red Dutch tiles. The simple cornice-topped facade of the residential house on the Voorstraat (east) is constructed in reddish-brown brickwork with horizontal decorative bands of yellow brick and rendered plinth, string courses and stretchers. The facade has three window bays with on the left a panel door under an arched fanlight with leaded glass. The arched sash windows on the ground floor likewise have leaded glass in the fanlights, on the upper floor straight windows with fanlight. Centrally in the roof panel a dormer with pediment crown and a window with four-pane horizontal glazing bars (1920). The long north facade with heavy wall anchors is entirely rendered white. In the residential house section straight sash windows, in the connecting section large replaced windows and a door, in the bulb-drying shed a composite frame of three six-pane windows. The gabled end of the bulb-drying shed (west) has a central door, flanked by six-pane drying doors. Two drying doors in the gable top with above the right one a hoist beam. In the rendered south facade a comparable window. The rest of this facade is concealed behind the neighbouring building no. 120. On the attic floor the drying racks have been preserved.
Valuation
The residential house annex bulb-drying shed is of general importance due to cultural and architectural historical value as a principal component of the Van Eeden complex as a representative example of late 19th-century bulb-cultivation buildings in the Netherlands and due to the typology and the reasonable degree of integrity in principal form, material use and exterior detailing. In the bulb-drying shed part of the drying racks has been preserved.
Furthermore this building has ensemble value in relation to the other complex components and the exceptional location on the Voorstraat in the protected village scene of Noordwijk-Binnen.
