HUNTING LODGE WITH DWELLING ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE DRIVEWAY BETWEEN GOUVERNEURSWEG AND CASTLE (HOUSE NUMBER 1): Single-storey red-brick hunting lodge with dwelling from around 1880, on L-shaped ground plan, the steep gabled roof and the transversely positioned lean-to at the front have tuile du nord tiles, the roof of the right-angled extension against the rear facade has old-Dutch tiles. The neo-gothic hunting lodge with dwelling is provided with a steep gabled roof, displays brick decoration in yellow brick and segmental arches above the windows, a gutter moulding on profiled corbels and is executed with wind braces. The long front facade has six bays, with the rightmost a two-bay, two-storey gable with gabled roof, with lower ridge and adjoining the long roof; at the level of the upper storey a pointed arch spandrel which on the ground floor is widened on both sides by half pointed arch spandrels; on the ground floor two cross windows with six-pane sashes and fanlights with leaded glass; on the upper storey two window openings with horizontal division, containing a four-pane sash and a fanlight with leaded glass. Above the window openings pointed arch spandrels of decorative brickwork, along the spandrel decorative brickwork, at the level of the under-, between and over-window sills decorative brickwork bands and likewise under the eaves in yellow stone. The four left bays of the front facade consist of double French doors with fanlight under relieving arches, the doors at the lower part with panel and stile work, above rendered in glass, the fanlights in leaded glass and partly filled with coloured glass, two roof dormer windows under gabled rooflets with slates, the small gable cladded and painted yellow. Partly cross windows, shutters with diabolo motif. Ornamental wall anchors, roof overhang. In the right side facade two small window openings with leaded glass beside a built-up chimney stack. In the left side facade on the ground floor three cross windows with six-pane sashes and fanlights with leaded glass at the location of the six-pane sashes, on the upper storey two small window openings with leaded glass beside a built-up chimney stack and a pointed arch niche. In both side facades decorative brickwork bands at the level of the under-, between- and over-window sills of the window openings at the front and in the facade plane. In the band-free rear facade a cross window. Against the rear facade a single-storey extension under gabled roof with old-Dutch tiles and wind braces. In the right side facade of the extension one blocked-up and one original gate, two pointed arch niches with slightly arched stable window with iron shutters and recessed natural stone surround. The roof truss structure cladding of the roof dormers, the doors, the shutters and all the window frame wood is painted ochre yellow (with blue). Decorative brickwork in yellow brick, alternating with red brick laid in English bond in parallel bands.
