Omschrijving BLOK VAN TWEE DIENSTWONINGEN EN BIJBEHOREND HEKWERK.
Huis op vierkante grondslag op vooruitspringende plint onder een met rode pannen gedekt afgeknot schilddak, waarin twee dienstwoningen. Het complex werd in de jaren '80 van de 19de eeuw na de brand van de ververij gebouwd van het restmateriaal. Op het dak staan vier lange bakstenen schoorstenen. Het huis is gedeeltelijk wit gepleisterd, waarbij bewust enkele stroken rode baksteen in het zicht zijn gelaten, en heeft een omgaande geschulpte kroonlijst en een door consoles ondersteunde getoogde gootlijst. De voorgevel heeft een vooruitspringend middenrisaliet onder een zadeldak; in de topgevel twee voordeuren in een getoogd portiek. Op de verdieping twee 2-ruits uitzetvensters met 8-ruits bovenlicht. De linker- en rechtertravee zijn identiek; beganegronds een venster met een in drie delen gedeeld 16-ruits bovenlicht in een getoogd spaarveld, op de verdieping een in het dakschild geplaatste dakkapel, met gedeeld 16-ruits uitzetvenster, onder een lessenaarsdak. De linker- en rechterzijgevel kennen een gelijke indeling. Beide gevelvlakken hebben een middenrisaliet onder een zadeldak met overstek, beganegronds een venster met 8-ruits bovenlicht en op de verdieping een gedeeld 16-ruits uitzetvenster. Links respectievelijk rechts een venster met 8-ruits bovenlicht. De achtergevel heeft op de verdieping een risaliserende uitbouw onder een zadeldak met overstek dat in de top beschoten is. In de gevel onder het risaliet beganegronds twee kleine vensters met een in drie delen gedeeld 16-ruits bovenlicht. Op de verdieping twee 2-ruitsvensters met 8-ruits bovenlicht onder een ontlastingsboog. De gevelvlakken links en rechts zijn spiegelend. Aan weerzijden van de achtergevel een uitbouw onder een lessenaarsdak met in de naar binnen gerichte zijgevel een deur, in de achterzijde twee vensters met ontlastingsboog. De twee losstaande schuurtjes van recente datum aan de achterzijde van het huis komen voor bescherming niet in aanmerking. De tuin rondom het huis heeft weinig monumentale waarde, maar is als groenzone van belang. Tussen het huis en de Hengelosestraat staat een afscheiding in de vorm van een hekwerk uit het begin van de 20ste eeuw. Het hek is geplaatst op een gepleisterde bakstenen voet en heeft smeedijzeren regels en spijlen met een afwisselende lelie- en voluutbekroning, in het midden van het hek een draaibare vleugel.

House on square ground plan on projecting plinth under a truncated hipped roof covered with red tiles, comprising two service dwellings. The complex was built in the 1880s after the dye works fire from the remaining material. On the roof stand four long brick chimneys. The house is partly whitewashed, with several strips of red brickwork deliberately left exposed, and has a surrounding sculptured cornice and a gadroon-fluted gutter cornice supported by consoles. The front facade has a projecting central risalit under a gabled roof; in the gable two front doors in an arched portico. On the first floor two two-pane casement windows with eight-pane fanlights. The left and right bays are identical; on the ground floor a window with a 16-pane fanlight divided in three parts in an arched spandrel, on the first floor a dormer window placed in the roof slope, with divided 16-pane casement window, under a sloping roof. The left and right side facades have an identical arrangement. Both facade planes have a central risalit under a gabled roof with overhang, on the ground floor a window with eight-pane fanlight and on the first floor a divided 16-pane casement window. To the left and right respectively a window with eight-pane fanlight. The rear facade has on the first floor a projecting extension under a gabled roof with overhang that is halved at the apex. In the facade under the risalit on the ground floor two small windows with a 16-pane fanlight divided in three parts. The two separate sheds of recent date on the rear of the house do not qualify for protection. The garden around the house has little monumental value, but is important as a green space. Between the house and the Hengelosestraat stands a boundary in the form of fencing from the early 20th century. The fence is placed on a plastered brick base and has wrought-iron rails and bars with an alternating fleur-de-lis and volute crown, in the centre of the fence a hinged wing.
