Het TOEGANGSHEK aan het begin van de oprijlaan aan de Wickenburgseweg bestaat uit twee hekpijlers met natuurstenen bekroning en een dubbel spijlenhek. De uit baksteen opgetrokken pijlers zijn in 1982 vernieuwd. De bekroning van de pijlers, stammend uit het eerste kwart van de achttiende eeuw, bestaat uit vlakke natuurstenen panelen, waarop aan de voorzijde de naam "Wicken" (rechts) en "Burgh" (links) is geschilderd. Hierboven bevindt zich op beiden pijlers een onbewerkte, vierkante voet, waarop een natuurstenen vaas in Lodewijk XV stijl is gezet. Het smeedijzeren hekwerk bestaat uit twee scharnierende delen of hekken. De hekken zijn opgebouwd uit spijlen met een puntige uiteinden die doormiddel van drie platte regels bij elkaar worden gehouden. De bovenste regels verlagen zich naar het midden.

The ENTRANCE GATE at the beginning of the access drive on the Wickenburgseweg consists of two gate pillars with natural stone capping and a double spear-head fence. The brick-built pillars were renewed in 1982. The capping of the pillars, dating from the first quarter of the eighteenth century, consists of flat natural stone panels, on which are painted the name "Wicken" (right) and "Burgh" (left) on the front face. Above this, on both pillars, is an unworked, square base, upon which a natural stone urn in Louis XV style is set. The wrought-iron fencing consists of two hinged sections or gates. The gates are constructed from spears with pointed ends that are held together by means of three flat rails. The upper rails taper towards the middle.

The entrance gate is of general importance due to its cultural and architectural-historical value as an example of gate-pillar capping from the first quarter of the eighteenth century in Louis XV style and a double entrance gate.
