Omschrijving
Tussen 1850 en 1900 gebouwde hekpijlers met afgeschuinde hoeken, opgetrokken in baksteen met banden cementkunststeen en voorzien van een afdekplaat. De pijlers bevatten plaquettes met het opschrift 'BEUKENHORST'. Het smeedijzeren hek bestaande uit twee vleugels is vanwege de Jugendstil detaillering wellicht iets jonger dan de pijlers.

Het inrijhek is van algemeen belang vanwege: - materiaal (baksteen, kunststeen, smeedijzer) en detaillering (geblokte opbouw van de pijlers, Jugendstil kenmerken hek); - samenhang met de buitenplaats Beukenhorst, in het bijzonder met de portierswoning; - gaafheid.

Description
Gate piers built between 1850 and 1900 with chamfered corners, constructed in brick with bands of cement imitation stone and provided with a coping plate. The piers contain plaques with the inscription 'BEUKENHORST'. The wrought iron gate consisting of two wings is perhaps slightly younger than the piers because of the Art Nouveau detailing.
Assessment
The entrance gate is of general importance because of: - material (brick, imitation stone, wrought iron) and detailing (blocked construction of the piers, Art Nouveau features of the gate); - coherence with the country estate Beukenhorst, in particular with the gatekeeper's lodge; - integrity.
