Inleiding
De VILLA 't Annink werd in opdracht van B.ter Kuile door de architect A. Beudt in cottagestijl ontworpen en in 1920 gebouwd. De villa ligt in het villapark Driene aan de rand van Hengelo. De tuin, die voor de bescherming van ondergeschikt belang is, werd tegelijk met de bouw van het huis aangelegd. Hiervan zijn onder andere delen van het terras en de border nog aanwezig. In de tuin staat een houten duiventil die eveneens voor bescherming van ondergeschikt belang is.
Omschrijving
Pand op een samengestelde plattegrond, over grotendeels één bouwlaag opgetrokken in bruine machinale baksteen onder een overstekend, rietgedekt zadeldak. Aan de achterzijde heeft het pand een grote en een kleine dakkapel. De noordzijde heeft een kleine uitbouw onder een lager geplaatst afgewolfd zadeldak. De vensters van het huis hebben een roedeverdeling en overwegend glas-in-lood bovenlichten.
De asymmetrische voorgevel (O) is in vier traveeën opgedeeld. De middelste twee hebben een uitkragende verdieping met vakwerk onder overstekende rietgedekte steekkappen en ruitvormige vensters in de geveltoppen. De overluifelde entree met zij- en bovenlichten bevindt zich in de derde travee. De eerste travee risaleert en heeft een serre met houten consoles onder een doorlopend dakschild. De achtergevel (W) bestaat uit drie traveeën waarvan de middelste onder een uitkragende, afgewolfde steekkap tot op de verdieping doorloopt. Dit geveldeel is voorzien van dubbele vensters op de parterre, een dubbel en twee enkele vensters op de verdieping en drie zesruits vensters onder de dakaanzet.
De linker travee heeft rechtgesloten, glazen terrasdeuren.
De rechter travee heeft een driedubbel venster en terrasdeuren onder een tudorboog die toegang bieden tot een overdekt terras dat aan de zuidkant open is. De zuidelijke gevel heeft naast het overdekte terras een driedubbel venster. Op de verdieping bevindt zich een soortgelijk venster en een loggia. Onder de dakaanzet drie dubbele zesruits vensters.
De indeling van het huis is nagenoeg ongewijzigd. Onder andere zijn de trap, de parketvloer, de vensters en deuren met hang- en sluitwerk nog origineel.

Introduction
The VILLA 't Annink was designed in cottage style by architect A. Beudt on commission of B.ter Kuile and built in 1920. The villa is located in the villa park Driene on the edge of Hengelo. The garden, which is of secondary importance for protection, was laid out at the same time as the construction of the house. Of this, among other things parts of the terrace and the border are still present. In the garden stands a wooden dove-cot which is also of secondary importance for protection.
Description
Building on a complex ground plan, constructed over largely one storey in brown machine-made brick under an overhanging, thatched gabled roof. At the rear the building has one large and one small roof dormer. The north side has a small extension under a lower placed barrel-vault gabled roof. The windows of the house have glazing bars and predominantly leaded glass fanlights.
The asymmetrical front facade (E) is divided into four bays. The middle two have a projecting upper storey with half-timbering under overhanging thatched roof dormers and diamond-shaped windows in the gable tops. The covered entrance with side and top lights is located in the third bay. The first bay projects forward and has a conservatory with wooden consoles under a continuous roof covering. The rear facade (W) consists of three bays of which the middle one projects under an overhanging, barrel-vault roof dormer extending to the upper storey. This facade section is provided with double windows on the ground floor, one double and two single windows on the upper storey and three six-pane windows under the roof edge.
The left bay has straight-edge glazed terrace doors.
The right bay has a triple window and terrace doors under a Tudor arch providing access to a covered terrace which is open on the south side. The south facade has alongside the covered terrace a triple window. On the upper storey is a similar window and a loggia. Under the roof edge three double six-pane windows.
The layout of the house is virtually unaltered. Among others the staircase, the parquet floor, the windows and doors with hinges and fittings are still original.
