PERRONOVERKAPPING uit 1899 van architect G.W. van Heukelom, bij het na-oorlogse station van Hengelo.
Omschrijving
De perronoverkapping heeft een Y-vormige plattegrond, met de twee poten aan de oostkant. De twee poten en het westelijke deel van de kap sluiten lager aan op het middelste gedeelte.
De overkapping is uitgevoerd in geklonken stalen vakwerk-kniespanten, verbonden met dwarsliggers. De onderste ligger is in de aansluiting op het kniespant rond gebogen. De kap is gedeeltelijk met glas dichtgezet. Het flauw hellende houten zadeldak is gedekt met rubberoid. De overkapping heeft aan beide zijden een overstekende luifel op gebogen, geklonken korbelen.

The perron canopy has a Y-shaped ground plan, with the two legs on the east side. The two legs and the western part of the canopy connect lower to the middle section.
