Omschrijving
EENDENHUIS-FOLLIE. Een 19de-eeuws eendenhuis in vorm van een follie, opgebouwd uit baksteen met een decoratieve pleisterlaag vermengd met kiezels (slakken en sintels) op rechthoekige grondslag en onder een met riet gedekt zadeldak; op het dak een zeskantige houten duiventil met een rieten paraplukap. Aan de rechter zijde een overstek waardoor er een ondersteunende overhang ontstaat met in deze zijgevel twee spitsboogvormige vensters. In de kopgevel een deur en een venster erboven. Het kleine gebouwtje heeft een kapelachtig uiterlijk. Naast het eendenhuis ligt een kleine ronde vijver (ook al op de kadasterkaart van 1818), die in verbinding staat met de Duinsloot. In het verslag van de veiling gehouden op 8 oktober 1768 wordt een hennenhok genoemd, waarschijnlijk wordt hiermee de voorloper van het eendenhuis bedoeld.

Description
DUCK HOUSE-FOLLY. A 19th-century duck house in the form of a folly, constructed of brick with a decorative render layer mixed with gravel (slag and clinker) on a rectangular ground plan and beneath a gabled roof covered with thatch; on the roof a hexagonal wooden dovecote with a thatched umbrella roof. On the right side an overhang creating a supporting projection with two pointed-arched windows in this side facade. In the gable end a door and a window above it. The small building has a chapel-like appearance. Next to the duck house is a small round pond (also shown on the cadastral map of 1818), which is connected to the Duinsloot. In the report of the sale held on 8 October 1768 a hen house is mentioned, probably this refers to the predecessor of the duck house.
