Inleiding
TOEGANGSHEK, behorend bij het watertorencomplex te Laren. De entreepartij is gelegen bij de ingang van het erf aan de Rijksweg-west en is opgetrokken in dezelfde materialen en expressionistische stijl als de overige onderdelen van het complex.
Omschrijving
Toegangshek, bestaande uit twee in gesinterde baksteen opgetrokken pijlers aan weerszijden van de toegangsweg tot het complex.
De linkerpijler, de zuidelijke, is opgetrokken op rechthoekig grondplan met oost-westgerichte lengte-as. De pijler wordt afgesloten door een rollaag. De pijler heeft aan de noord- en zuidzijde een kniehoge uitstulping. Aan de noordzijde is boven ooghoogte een driezijdige, koperen kap (voor een lantaarn) aangebracht.
De rechter-, noordelijke pijler is opgetrokken op rechthoekig grondplan, maar is veel lager dan de linker. Deze rechterpijler heeft een rechte zuidzijde, een rechte oost- en westzijde en een schuine noordzijde. De pijler wordt afgesloten door een halfronde beëindiging. De zuidzijde heeft een kniehoge uitstulping. Op de afgeronde top zijn drie smeedijzeren letters "P W N" bevestigd.

ENTRANCE GATE, belonging to the water tower complex at Laren. The entrance structure is located at the entrance to the site on the Rijksweg-west and is built in the same materials and expressionist style as the other components of the complex.

The left pillar, the southern one, is built on a rectangular ground plan with an east-west oriented longitudinal axis. The pillar is finished with a roll course. The pillar has a knee-high projection on the north and south sides. On the north side, above eye level, a three-sided copper cap (for a lantern) has been mounted.
The right, northern pillar is built on a rectangular ground plan, but is much lower than the left one. This right pillar has a straight south side, straight east and west sides and a sloping north side. The pillar is finished with a semicircular termination. The south side has a knee-high projection. On the rounded top three wrought-iron letters "P W N" are mounted.
