Inleiding
TOEGANGSHEK MET ZES PILONEN, onderdeel uitmakend van het watertorencomplex te Laren, gebouwd tussen 1931 en 1933 in expressionistische bouwtrant.
De dienstwoning aan de noord-oostzijde van de watertoren is visueel met de watertoren verbonden door een reeks van zes pilonen, tussen welke de ingangshekken naar de opslagplaats zijn geplaatst.
Omschrijving
Reeks van zes bakstenen pilonen, waartussen ijzeren draaihekken zijn gehangen. De zes pilonen zijn geplaatst op een noordoost-zuidwestgerichte as. De vier middelste pilonen zijn vrijstaand, de meest noordoostelijke is geïntegreerd in de zuidwestgevel van de dienstwoning (huisnr. 25), de meest zuidoostelijke piloon is geïntegreerd in de noordoostgevel van de garage van de watertoren. De pilonen zijn opgetrokken op rechthoekig grondplan met een noordwest-zuidoostgerichte lengte-as en worden horizontaal afgesloten door een rollaag. De hekken zijn bevestigd aan het muurwerk van de lange zijden van de pilonen. De hekken zijn ijzeren draaihekken, met een gesloten stalen stootplaat in de onderste delen en spijlen in de bovenste delen.

Series of six brick pylons, between which iron swing gates are hung. The six pylons are placed on a north-east to south-west axis. The four middle pylons are free-standing, the most north-eastern is integrated into the south-west facade of the service dwelling (house no. 25), the most south-eastern pylon is integrated into the north-east facade of the garage of the water tower. The pylons are built on a rectangular ground plan with a north-west to south-east length axis and are horizontally terminated by a bond course. The gates are attached to the masonry of the long sides of the pylons. The gates are iron swing gates, with a closed steel impact plate in the lower parts and spikes in the upper parts.
