Inleiding
OVERDEKTE GANG, onderdeel uitmakend van het watertorencomplex te Laren. De gang vebindt de watertoren (huisnr. 27) met de ten noordwesten gelegen kantoren (huisnr. 29) met dienstwoning (huisnr. 31). Aan de zuidwestelijke muur is in de jaren '70 van de 20ste eeuw een lage uitbouw geplaatst ten behoeve van een kantoor/kantineruimte.
N.B. De aanbouw aan de zuidwestzijde valt niet onder de bescherming.
Omschrijving
Overdekte, in oorsprong open, gang op rechthoekige plattegrond onder een flauwhellend zadeldak met rode leipannen. Gang en noklijn zijn zuidoost-noordwestgericht. In het zuidoosten geeft de gang aansluiting op de watertoren, in het noordwesten op de kantoren met dienstwoning.
De muren van de gang zijn opgetrokken in dezelfde baksteen als de watertoren. Onder de dakrand bevindt zich een laag - in oorsprong geheel open - lintvenster dat op enkele plaatsen wordt onderbroken door een kleine bakstenen muurdam die het zadeldak ondersteunt.
De zuidwestelijke muur van de gang wordt aan het oog onttrokken door de, niet beschermde, aanbouw.
Waardering
De overdekte gang is van algemeen belang als historisch-functioneel onderdeel van het watertorencomplex Laren.

Introduction
COVERED PASSAGE, component forming part of the water tower complex at Laren. The passage connects the water tower (house no. 27) with the offices to the northwest (house no. 29) with caretaker's dwelling (house no. 31). On the southwest wall a low extension was placed in the 1970s of the 20th century for the purpose of an office/canteen space.
N.B. The extension on the southwest side does not fall under the protection.
Description
Covered passage, originally open, on a rectangular ground plan beneath a shallow-pitched gabled roof with red slate tiles. The passage and ridge line run southeast-northwest. In the southeast the passage connects to the water tower, in the northwest to the offices with caretaker's dwelling.
The walls of the passage are constructed in the same brick as the water tower. Below the roof edge is a band —originally entirely open— of continuous windows that is interrupted in places by a small brick wall supporting the gabled roof.
The southwest wall of the passage is concealed from view by the unprotected extension.
Valuation
The covered passage is of general importance as a historic-functional component of the Laren water tower complex.
