KANONNEN. Aan weerszijden van het toegangshek liggen twee kanonnen en één op het voorplein. De gegoten ijzeren kanonnen steken half uit de grond. In 1612 wordt daar melding van gemaakt, nadat Van Buchell het huis had bezocht zei hij dat Johan van Duvenvoorde 'soo voor sijn huijs als op de eynden van sijne heerlijckheyt verscheyde ijsere gotelingen (die soo ick meene gebroken sijn) heeft doen stellen, tot een teijcken ende memorie van sijn admiraelschap'.

CANNONS. On either side of the entrance gate lie two cannons and one on the forecourt. The cast-iron cannons project half out of the ground. In 1612 mention is made of this, after Van Buchell visited the house he said that Johan van Duvenvoorde 'both in front of his house and at the boundaries of his lordship had various iron castings (which I believe are broken) placed, as a sign and memorial of his admiralship'.
