Inleiding
Als terreinafscheiding langs de oostzijde van de Hoge Duin en Daalseweg gelegen MUUR MET TOEGANGSHEK, onderdeel uitmakend van het complex van de voormalige "Bloemendaalsche Waterleiding".
Omschrijving
De uit drie delen bestaande muur is in totaliteit circa 50 meter lang en volgt, parallel aan de weg, in noord-zuid richting de bochten van de Hoge Duin en Daalseweg. Aan de noordzijde buigt de muur in oostelijke richting af, alwaar hij na circa vijf meter eindigt. De muur bestaat uit een gewapend grindbetonnen plint (afwisselend in hoogte als gevolg van de geaccidenteerdheid van het terrein) met daarop een muurwerk opgebouwd uit grindbetonnen stenen met rustica-motief. Dit muurwerk wordt afgesloten door een gewapend grindbetonnen afdekplaat met daarop een, later toegevoegd, circa 50 centimeter hoog ijzeren hekwerk. De muur is vanwege de geaccidenteerdheid van het terrein, afwisselend van hoogte.
Aan de uiteinden (zuid en oost) en tussen de verschillende muurdelen bezit de muur vierkante pijlers van gewapend grindbeton. Ten zuiden van de muur bevindt zich het toegangshek welke oorspronkelijk toegang gaf tot het terrein van de Bloemendaalse Waterleiding. Dit toegangshek bestaat uit een dubbel openslaand hekwerk van zwart geverfd metaal, met daarboven in wit geverfd metaal uitgevoerd het woord: "BL. WATERLEIDING". Het toegangshek is tussen twee pijlers van gewapend grindbeton gevat.
Waardering
De gaaf bewaard gebleven muur met toegangshek is van algemeen belang als historisch-functioneel onderdeel van het complex van de voormalige "Bloemendaalsche Waterleiding" en wegens cultuurhistorische en architectuurhistorische waarden als een in gewapend beton uitgevoerde muur welke qua materiaalgebruik, functie en ligging, ensemble-waarde heeft met het filtergebouw. Tevens heeft de muur met toegangshek een beeldbepalende waarde door de ligging langs de Hoge Duin en Daalseweg.

A WALL WITH ACCESS GATE located as a site boundary along the east side of the Hoge Duin en Daalseweg, forming part of the complex of the former "Bloemendaalsche Waterleiding".

The wall, consisting of three sections, measures approximately 50 metres in total length and follows, parallel to the road, in a north-south direction the bends of the Hoge Duin en Daalseweg. At the north side the wall bends in an easterly direction, where it ends after approximately five metres. The wall consists of a reinforced gravel concrete plinth (varying in height as a result of the unevenness of the terrain) with upon it masonry constructed from gravel concrete stones with rustica motif. This masonry is finished with a reinforced gravel concrete coping slab upon which is mounted, added later, approximately 50 centimetres high iron railings. The wall varies in height as a result of the unevenness of the terrain.
At the ends (south and east) and between the various wall sections the wall has square pillars of reinforced gravel concrete. To the south of the wall is located the access gate which originally gave access to the site of the Bloemendaalse Waterleiding. This access gate consists of a double swing gate of black painted metal, with above it in white painted metal the words: "BL. WATERLEIDING". The access gate is positioned between two pillars of reinforced gravel concrete.
Valuation
The well-preserved wall with access gate is of general importance as a historical-functional component of the complex of the former "Bloemendaalsche Waterleiding" and by reason of cultural-historical and architectural-historical values as a wall executed in reinforced concrete which in terms of material use, function and location has ensemble value with the filter building. The wall with access gate also has significance for its visual impact by reason of its location along the Hoge Duin en Daalseweg.
