Inleiding
In het zuidwesten van de historische buitenplaats Koningshof, nabij de grens met de gemeente Zandvoort gebouwde DUBBELE DIENSTWONING waarschijnlijk ter huisvesting van jachtopzieners. Het object werd rond 1900 gebouwd naar vooralsnog onbekend ontwerp.
Omschrijving
Op rechthoekig grondplan gebouwde dubbele dienstwoning bestaande uit parterre en kapverdieping onder zadeldak met zwarte Hollandse pan. De lange zijde van het pand en de noklijn van het zadeldak lopen evenwijdig aan de weg. Het symetrische pand heeft een gevelbreedte van zes vensterassen. In de buitenste assen bevinden zich paneeldeuren en in de middelste vier assen schuifvensters met luiken. Kozijnen van deuren en vensters hebben in de bovenlichten achtruits ramen. In het dakschild aan de voorzijde bevinden zich twee grote dakkapellen met dubbel scharnierende ramen die elk een zesruits roedeverdeling hebben. De beide kopgevels hebben elk een klein raam. De achtergevel heeft nabij de kopgevel een deur en daarnaast een schuifvenster.

Built in the south-west of the historic country estate Koningshof, near the boundary with the municipality of Zandvoort, a DOUBLE SERVICE COTTAGE presumably for housing hunting supervisors. The object was built around 1900 to a hitherto unknown design.
Description
Double service cottage built on a rectangular floor plan consisting of ground floor and attic storey under a gabled roof with black Dutch pantiles. The long side of the building and the ridge line of the gabled roof run parallel to the road. The symmetrical building has a facade width of six window bays. In the outer bays are panel doors and in the middle four bays are sash windows with shutters. Window frames of doors and windows have rear panes in the fanlights. In the roof panel at the front are two large roof dormers with double hinged windows each having a six-light glazing bars. Both gable ends each have a small window. The rear facade has near the gable end a door and beside it a sash window.
Valuation
The double service cottage is of general importance from a cultural-historical point of view as a historic-functional component of the historic country estate Koningshof.
