Inleiding
Nederlands Hervormde kerk uit 1856, neigend naar waterstaatsstijl. Oudere romaanse toren van ca. 1200 ten dele ontmanteld, in 1856 verlaagd en deels nieuw opgemetseld en in 1972-1976 voorzien van een nieuwe spits.
Beschrijving
Bakstenen kruiskerk met een gepleisterde plint en basis onder schilddaken met Lucas IJsbrandpannen en pironnen. Torenvoet (apart monumentnummer 14958) van behakte zwerfkeien met een opbouw van baksteen met lisenen. Binnen de met een ijzeren hekken afgezette omgang een octogonale spits met aan vier zijden wijzerplaten en overhoeks ijzeren rondboogvensters, bekroond door een ingezwenkte spits met windvaan.
De gevels zijn geleed door Dorische pilasterstellingen met een hoge gepleisterde basis met schijnvoegen. In de spaarvelden spitsboogvensters of -nissen. De architraaf loopt rondom. Ter hoogte van de boogaanzetten van de vensters loopt rondom in de spaarvelden een speklaag. De sluitstenen van nissen en vensters zijn eveneens geaccentueerd.
De gevels van het schip en de kopgevels van het transept tellen twee traveeën, de zijgevels van het transept en de gevels van het koor één.
Interieur
Houten tongewelven met trekstangen. Rondom lopende kooflijst. Originele preekstoel, tegen de torengevel het balkon met het orgel.
Orgel uit 1872 van orgelbouwer Roelf Meijer. Door de goede akoestiek, mede ontstaan door een modernisering van de kerk in 1964-1965, draagt het interieur van de kerk in belangrijke mate bij aan de monumentwaardigheid van het orgel. De orgelkas is, evenals de kerk, in 1931 gewijzigd.

Description
Brick cruciform church with plastered plinth and base beneath hipped roofs with Lucas IJsbrand tiles and ridge ornaments. Tower base (separate monument number 14958) of dressed boulders with a superstructure of brick with pilaster strips. Within the circumambulatory enclosed by iron railings an octagonal spire with on four sides clock faces and at the corners iron round-arch windows, crowned by an inset spire with weathervane.
The facades are articulated by Doric pilaster arrangements with a high plastered base with false mortar joints. In the spandrels pointed-arch windows or recesses. The architrave runs all around. At the height of the arch springings of the windows a string course runs all around in the spandrels. The keystones of recesses and windows are likewise accentuated.
The facades of the nave and the end walls of the transept count two bays, the side facades of the transept and the facades of the choir one.
Interior
Wooden barrel vaults with tie rods. Running cornice all around. Original pulpit, against the tower facade the gallery with the organ.
Organ from 1872 by organ builder Roelf Meijer. Because of the good acoustics, arising in part from a modernisation of the church in 1964-1965, the interior of the church contributes importantly to the monumental significance of the organ. The organ case was, like the church, altered in 1931.
