Inleiding
Woonhuis annex winkel gebouwd in 1920, in opdracht van rijwielhandelaar M. de Jong, naar ontwerp van H. Scholten uit Noordbarge.
Het pand heeft de hoofdvorm van een kleine boerderij.
Aan de achterzijde is een nieuwe houten schuur aangebouwd. De forse dakkapellen zijn van recente datum. Aanbouw en dakkapellen zijn voor bescherming van ondergeschikt belang. De bescherming betreft het hoofdvolume zonder aanbouw en de oorspronkelijke detaillering van de gevels.
Omschrijving
Woonhuis/winkel opgetrokken met de typologie van een boerderij van het krimpentype, in baksteen met een trasraam onder een met friese pannen gedekt schilddak. Op de nokeinden schoorstenen.
In het woongedeelte links overhoeks de winkel. De winkelpui is gevat in een gemetselde pilasterstelling met gepleisterde plint en architraaf. Grote etalageruit met in het zesruits bovenlicht twee gebogen roeden. Keramische raamdorpelstenen. Centraal in de voorgevel de toegang tot de winkel; een glasdeur met een zesruits bovenlicht. Rechts van de winkelpui twee schuifvensters met zesruits bovenlicht. De dakkapel onder platdak met laaddeuren doorbreekt de gootlijst en de met gepleisterde banden gesuggereerde kroonlijst.
In de linkerzijgevel vanaf rechts een smalle etalageruit in pilasterstelling, in de kopgevel van de krimp een deur naar de werkplaats, drie schuifvensters en een stalraam in de werkplaatsgevel. In het dakvlak een recente dakkapel onder platdak.
In de rechterzijgevel geheel links één en rechts vier schuifvensters als aan de voorzijde.

To the right of the shop front two sash windows with six-pane fanlight. The roof dormer beneath a flat roof with loading doors breaks through the gutter line and the cornice suggested with plastered bands.
In the left side facade from the right a narrow display window in pilaster arrangement, in the gable end of the shrinkage a door to the workshop, three sash windows and a stable window in the workshop facade. In the roof section a recent roof dormer beneath a flat roof.
In the right side facade far left one and on the right four sash windows as on the front.
