Omschrijving
HISTORISCHE TUIN- EN PARKAANLEG behorende tot de buitenplaats Groenevecht. De hoofdstructuur van de historische aanleg wordt bepaald door het 17de-eeuwse grachtenpatroon (kavelverdeling), waarvan het westelijke gedeelte in de negentiende eeuw tot een gebogen deel is vergraven. De eenvoudige inrichting van het park in landschapsstijl bevat nog enkele elementen uit de formele periode. Langs de zuidzijde van de aanleg de zogenaamde Veelaan beplant met Esdoorn, die als zichtas fungeert naar het achterliggende weiland. Nog enkele oude laanresten: een perelaantje achter het huis, de lindenlaan naar de boerderij en de oude taxushaag. Voor het huis loopt de achttiende-eeuwse noord-zuidas, die aan de noordkant wordt voortgezet in een leiperenlaantje. Achter het huis liggen naast elkaar, door een waterloop gescheiden, twee oude boomgaarden (hoog- en laagstammige). Aan de oostzijde van de boomgaard een parkbos met een padenstructuur uit het begin van de twintigste eeuw. Vanaf de Vecht en het Zandpad zijn enkele diagonale zichtassen op het huis geprojecteerd. Het gazon voor het huis is ingericht met solitairen en boomgroepen. Langs de rand een verhoging in de aanleg waar de negentiende-eeuwse tuinkoepel stond, zoals te zien is op de gravure van Lutgers. Terzijde van het huis (noord) is in 1985 een neo-formele ellipsvormige aanleg van Copijn gerealiseerd. Ook zijn de hagen aan weerszijde van het huis, zoals te zien op oude prenten, opnieuw aangeplant.

Description
HISTORIC GARDEN AND PARK LAYOUT belonging to the country estate Groenevecht. The main structure of the historic layout is determined by the 17th-century ditch pattern (plot division), of which the western part was widened into a curved section in the nineteenth century. The simple design of the park in landscape style still contains a few elements from the formal period. Along the south side of the layout the so-called Veelaan (Maple Avenue) planted with maples, which acts as a sight axis towards the adjacent meadow. Several old lane remnants remain: a pear tree avenue behind the house, the linden avenue to the farm and the old yew hedge. In front of the house runs the eighteenth-century north-south axis, which is continued on the north side in a pear tree avenue. Behind the house lie side by side, separated by a watercourse, two old orchards (standard and bush trees). On the east side of the orchard a park wood with a path structure from the early twentieth century. From the Vecht and the Zandpad several diagonal sight axes to the house are projected. The lawn in front of the house is laid out with solitary trees and tree groups. Along the edge an elevation in the design where the nineteenth-century garden pavilion stood, as can be seen in the engraving by Lutgers. To the side of the house (north) a neo-formal elliptical layout by Copijn was realized in 1985. Also the hedges on either side of the house, as seen in old prints, have been replanted.
