Omschrijving onderdeel 8:
HEKPALEN. Aan het begin van de oprijlaan twee ronde hardstenen palen met de naam HOU - DRINGE staande bij twee gemetselde keermuren daterend uit ca.1902. Tussen de palen hing oorspronkelijk een ketting. De naastgelegen portierswoning (zie onderdeelnr.6) heeft daaraan zijn naam te danken.

HEKPALEN van algemeen belang: - vanwege de ornamentele waarde; - vanwege de ensemblewaarde; - vanwege de functioneel-ruimtelijke relatie met de andere onderdelen van de buitenplaats.

GATE POSTS. At the beginning of the drive two round hardstone posts with the name HOU - DRINGE standing by two mortared retaining walls dating from c.1902. Between the posts originally hung a chain. The adjacent porter's lodge (see component no.6) owes its name to this.
