De ENKELE KANONKAZEMAT III heeft een tamelijk ver frontwaarts geschoven positie op het schoppenvormig plateau en is vrijwel geheel omringd door aardwerken. Het werk draagt als bestekjaar 1933. Aan de buitenzijde van de zuidwest wand zijn twee buitenprivaten aangebracht. Uiterst links en rechts van de privaten bieden stalen deuren toegang tot twee portalen, middels een hoek van 90° verbonden met de gangruimten. De twee ingangen worden vanuit de kazematruimte en een smalle nis aan de zuidoost zijde door middel van een geweerschietgat via de portalen gedekt. De noordwestelijke gangruimte is extra breed ten behoeve van de opstelling van een veldaffuit. Achter de frontwand (noordoost) zijn gegroepeerd de kanonkazematruimte met schietgat in de frontwand, een bergruimte annex munitiemagazijn, het legeringslokaal voor manschappen en een waarnemingsruimte met spiegelkast. Ten behoeve van de waarneming is in de frontwand een kijksleuf aangebracht, nabij de oosthoek van het werk. De camouflagebeschildering uit de jaren '50 is tamelijk goed herkenbaar. De buitenwanddikte bedraagt: NW wn NO 2.30 m; ZO 1.80 m; en ZW 1.60 m.
De bovendekking bedraagt ongeveer 2.00 m gewapend beton.
De kazemat meet een grootste lengte van 13.00 m en breedte 20.90 m.
Waardering
De enkele kanonkazemat III is als belangwekkend historisch-functioneel onderdeel van de Stelling bij Den Oever van algemeen belang.

The SINGLE GUN CASEMATE III has a rather far forward-pushed position on the shovel-shaped plateau and is surrounded almost entirely by earthworks. The work bears the specification year 1933. On the outer side of the southwest wall two external privies have been installed. Steel doors at the far left and right of the privies provide access to two portals, connected to the corridor spaces by means of a 90° angle. The two entrances are covered from the casemate space and a narrow niche on the southeast side by means of a rifle loophole via the portals. The northwest corridor space is extra wide for the installation of a field gun carriage. Behind the front wall (northeast) are grouped the gun casemate space with loophole in the front wall, a storage space and ammunition magazine, the dormitory for personnel and an observation space with mirror cabinet. For the purpose of observation, a viewing slit has been made in the front wall, near the east corner of the work. The camouflage painting from the 1950s is fairly clearly recognizable. The outer wall thickness is: NW wall NE 2.30 m; SE 1.80 m; and SW 1.60 m.
The roof covering is approximately 2.00 m reinforced concrete.
The casemate measures a maximum length of 13.00 m and width 20.90 m.
