Omschrijving complexonderdeel 6
GRAFMONUMENT van de familie Pijper gelegen in vak N1 (het landschappelijk aangelegde gedeelte) van de eerste algemene begraafplaats van Zeist. Het grafmonument bestaat uit een zerk die omgeven is door een smeedijzeren hekwerk in art-nouveaustijl. Vanuit de bovenkant van één van de hoekpunten van elke zijde waaieren regels uit naar de onderzijde van het hekwerk. Twee diagonalen lopen kruislings door deze waaier heen.

Het grafmonument behorend bij de eerste algemene Zeister begraafplaats is van cultuurhistorische waarde als bijzonder voorbeeld van de funeraire cultuur alsmede vanwege de ensemblewaarde binnen de aanleg van het complex.

A FUNERARY MONUMENT of the Pijper family located in plot N1 (the landscaped section) of the first general cemetery of Zeist. The funerary monument consists of a gravestone surrounded by wrought iron railings in art nouveau style. From the top of one of the corner points of each side, lines fan out towards the bottom of the railings. Two diagonals run crosswise through this fan.

The funerary monument belonging to the first general cemetery of Zeist is of cultural-historical value as a remarkable example of funerary culture and also by virtue of its ensemble value within the layout of the complex.
