Inleiding
Op het zuidelijk deel van het erf gelegen huis, genaamd "Brandwijck", gebouwd in een sobere eclectische trant met neo-classicistische elementen. Het pand werd gebouwd omstreeks 1872 door een rijke aannemer. Het pand werd gebouwd op de fundamenten van een voorgaand pand; in de kelder is de tegelvloer daarvan nog aanwezig.
N.B. De aanbouw en de dakkapellen aan de achterzijde (W) en het grote venster in de rechterzijgevel (N) vallen niet onder de bescherming.
Omschrijving
Op rechthoekig grondplan gebouwd huis, bestaande uit een bouwlaag onder schilddak gedekt met zwart geglazuurde platte Friese pannen. De noklijn van het dak loopt evenwijdig aan de Grote Sloot. De noklijn wordt doorsneden door twee vierkante bakstenen schoorstenen. De oorspronkelijke houten kapconstructie is nog aanwezig. Het pand is gedeeltelijk onderkelderd.
Het pand is opgetrokken in bruine baksteen. De gevels worden afgesloten door een rondomlopende geprofileerde houten gootlijst.
De voorgevel van het pand (O) heeft een breedte van vijf vensterassen. De nadruk ligt op de middelste as die een middenpartij over twee bouwlagen vormt. Op middenas op de begane grond bevindt zich een dubbele paneeldeur met ijzeren sierroosters en getoogd bovenlicht. Boven de ingang is een naamplaat met de naam "BRANDWIJCK" aangebracht. Op de kapverdieping bevindt zich een rechthoekig houten T-venster. De middenpartij wordt afgesloten door een fronton met hoekakroterieën. Aan weerszijden van de middenas bevindt zich een geveldeel ter breedte van twee vensterassen dat wordt afgesloten door een geprofileerde houten gootlijst. Elke as bevat een houten T-venster met schuifraam en getoogd bovenlicht. In oorsprong waren de vensters voorzien van houten luiken.
De rechterzijgevel (N) bevat nog het oorspronkelijke metselwerk.
De achtergevel (W) bevat een rechthoekig houten T-venster met schuifraam en getoogd bovenlicht en bevatte daarnaast in oorsprong een rechthoekige deur met getoogd bovenlicht.
De linkerzijgevel (Z) bevat twee rechthoekige houten T-vensters met schuiframen en getoogd bovenlicht.
Het interieur is nog gedeeltelijk intact en bevat onder andere stucplafonds in de hal en in een kamer en in de kelder een tegelvloer met groene en gele tegels.

Het pand is van algemeen belang als historisch-functioneel hoofdonderdeel van het complex "Brandwijck". Daarnaast is het pand van belang uit cultuur- en architectuurhistorisch oogpunt als merendeels gaaf bewaard gebleven voorbeeld van een rentenierswoning op het Noordhollandse platteland uit de tweede helft van de 19de eeuw.

Description
House built on a rectangular ground plan, consisting of one storey under a hipped roof covered with black glazed flat Frisian tiles. The roof ridge runs parallel to the Grote Sloot. The ridge line is intersected by two square brick chimneys. The original wooden roof truss structure is still present. The building is partially cellared.
The building is constructed in brown brick. The facades are finished with a continuous moulded wooden cornice.
The front facade of the building (E) has a width of five window bays. Emphasis is placed on the central bay which forms a central projection over two storeys. On the central bay on the ground floor there is a double panelled door with iron decorative grilles and an arched fanlight. Above the entrance a nameplate bearing the name "BRANDWIJCK" has been installed. On the attic storey there is a rectangular wooden T-shaped window. The central projection is finished with a pediment with corner acroteria. On either side of the central bay there is a facade section the width of two window bays which is finished with a moulded wooden cornice. Each bay contains a wooden T-shaped window with sash window and arched fanlight. Originally the windows were provided with wooden shutters.
The right-side facade (N) still contains the original brickwork.
The rear facade (W) contains a rectangular wooden T-shaped window with sash window and arched fanlight and originally also contained a rectangular door with arched fanlight.
The left-side facade (S) contains two rectangular wooden T-shaped windows with sash windows and arched fanlights.
The interior is still partially intact and contains among other things stucco ceilings in the hall and in a room and in the cellar a tile floor with green and yellow tiles.
Valuation
The building is of general importance as a historical-functional principal component of the complex "Brandwijck". Furthermore, the building is of significance from a cultural and architectural-historical perspective as a largely well-preserved example of a rental dwelling in the North Holland countryside from the second half of the 19th century.
