Inleiding
Vrijstaande voormalige KEUTERBOERDERIJ, gelegen aan de westzijde van de Grote Sloot. Het ambachtelijk-traditioneel gebouwde pand is in kern vermoedelijk ouder dan 1850. Het huidige aanzien wordt bepaald door een gevelindeling die in de tweede helft van de 19de eeuw is ontstaan door het aanbrengen van nieuwe vensters en deuren. Het pand is tegenwoordig (1995) in gebruik als winkel.
Omschrijving
Op rechthoekig grondplan gebouwde voormalige keuterboerderij, bestaande uit één bouwlaag onder een zadeldak, gedekt met rode Hollandse pannen. De noklijn van het dak staat loodrecht op de Grote Sloot. Aan de noordzijde is over de hele lengte van het pand een aankapping aangebracht.
Het pand is opgetrokken in rode baksteen, aan drie zijden voorzien van een pleisterlaag met snijvoegen. Op verschillende plaatsen in het muurwerk zijn staafankers en sierankers zichtbaar. Tenzij anders vermeld bevatten de vensterassen een houten vierruits-schuifvenster met tweeruits-bovenlicht en houten lekdorpel.
De voorgevel (O), de oostelijke kopgevel, heeft twee vensterassen met een schuifvenster. Geheel rechts van de voorgevel bevindt zich onder het aangekapt gedeelte een klein houten vierruits-venster. In de topgevel bevindt zich een rechthoekig houten draaivenster. De voorgevel wordt afgesloten door een dakoverstek met rijk gesneden windveren en makelaars op de hoeken en nok.
De linkerzijgevel (Z) heeft vier oorspronkelijke vensterassen, waarvan er twee een zesruits-schuifvenster bevatten. De andere twee assen bevatten een houten paneeldeur met bovenlicht. De meest oostelijk gelegen deur bevat een ijzeren levensboom in het bovenlicht.
De achtergevel (W) wordt op de begane grond door een (niet beschermde) aanbouw aan het oog onttrokken. De topgevel is voorzien van verticaal beschot en bevat een kleine opgeklampte deur. De topgevel wordt afgesloten door windveren en een nokmakelaar.
De rechterzijgevel (N) is de lage wand onder het aangekapt gedeelte. Deze gevel is ongepleisterd en is blind. De gevel wordt afgesloten door een houten bakgoot op consoles.
Het interieur is nog gedeeltelijk intact en bevat onder andere in het achterhuis twee bedsteden in het aangekapt gedeelte.
Waardering
Het ambachtelijk-traditioneel uitgeboerde, eenvoudige pand is van algemeen belang uit cultuur- en architectuurhistorisch oogpunt als merendeels gaaf bewaard gebleven voorbeeld van een keuterboerderij op het Noordhollandse platteland uit de tweede helft van de 19de eeuw.

Detached former SMALLHOLDING FARMHOUSE, located on the west side of the Grote Sloot. The craftsman-traditional built building is in its core probably older than 1850. Its current appearance is determined by a facade arrangement which emerged in the second half of the 19th century through the introduction of new windows and doors. The building is nowadays (1995) in use as a shop.
Description
Former smallholding farmhouse built on a rectangular ground plan, consisting of one storey under a gabled roof, covered with red Dutch tiles. The roof ridge line stands perpendicular to the Grote Sloot. On the north side a roof extension has been applied along the entire length of the building.
The building is erected in red brick, rendered on three sides with cut joints. Shaft anchors and ornamental wall anchors are visible at various places in the masonry. Unless otherwise stated the window bays contain a wooden four-pane sash window with two-pane fanlight and wooden drip moulding.
The front facade (E), the eastern gable end, has two window bays with a sash window. Entirely to the right of the front facade, beneath the roof extension, is a small wooden four-pane window. In the stepped gable is a rectangular wooden casement window. The front facade is closed off by a roof overhang with richly carved wind vanes and makelaars at the corners and ridge.
The left side facade (S) has four original window bays, two of which contain a six-pane sash window. The other two bays contain a wooden panel door with fanlight. The easternmost located door contains an iron tree of life in the fanlight.
The rear facade (W) is obscured on the ground floor by an (unprotected) extension. The stepped gable is provided with vertical boarding and contains a small bolted door. The stepped gable is closed off by wind vanes and a ridge makelaar.
The right side facade (N) is the low wall beneath the roof extension. This facade is unrendered and is blind. The facade is closed off by a wooden rainwater gutter on consoles.
The interior is still partially intact and contains among other things in the rear section two built-in beds in the roof extension.
Valuation
The craftsman-traditional executed, simple building is of general importance from a cultural-historical and architectural-historical point of view as a largely well-preserved example of a smallholding farmhouse in the North Holland countryside from the second half of the 19th century.
