Inleiding
TOEGANGSHEK, onderdeel uitmakend van het R.K. Kerkcomplex H. Johannes de Doper, daterend uit het derde kwart van de 19de eeuw in Ambachtelijk traditionele bouwtrant, geplaatst tegen de noordmuur van de kerk leidt naar een van rijkswege niet beschermenswaardig geachte begraafplaats achter de kerk.
Omschrijving
Rijk geornamenteerd smeedijzeren hekwerk, bestaande uit een dubbel toegangshek met voluutvormige bekroningen. Aan weerseinden wordt het afgesloten door smeedijzeren raamwerken die als staander dienen en die voorzien zijn van siersmeedwerk en cirkelvormige bekroning metdaarin een kruislings geplaatste sikkel en zeis.
Waardering
Het toegangshek is van algemeen belang vanwege de ensemblewaarde als ruimtelijk en functioneel onderdeel van het kerkcomplex.
Het hekwerk is een voorbeeld van een negentiende-eeuwse smeedijzeren erfscheiding en is gaaf wat betreft hoofdvorm, materiaalgebruik en detaillering.

ACCESS GATE, forming part of the R.K. Church Complex Saint John the Baptist, dating from the third quarter of the 19th century in traditional workmanlike building style, placed against the north wall of the church leads to a burial ground behind the church which is not considered worthy of national protection.
Description
Richly ornamented wrought-iron work, consisting of a double access gate with volute-shaped cresting. At either end it is closed off by wrought-iron frameworks which serve as standards and which are provided with ornamental ironwork and circular cresting with a diagonally placed sickle and scythe within.
Evaluation
The access gate is of general significance because of its ensemble value as a spatial and functional component of the church complex.
The wrought-iron work is an example of a nineteenth-century wrought-iron boundary and is intact as regards main form, material use and detailing.
