Inleiding
De ijskelder bij de buitenplaats Heimerstein werd in 1909 of 1910 gebouwd. De kelder bevindt zich op een perceel aan de overzijde van Heimerstein, tegen de Grebbeberg aan. De huidige toestand komt niet overeen met de bouwtekeing uit 1909. Op deze bouwtekening gaat het om een kelder van één meter diepte, overkapt met een rietgedekte houten kap.
Omschrijving
De aan de Cuneraweg gelegen IJSKELDER bestaat uit een terzijde van het pad tegen de Grebbeberg gelegen ingang, die verdiept gelegen is ten opzichte van het hellende vlak. De ingang bestaat uit twee keermuren en een trap die leidt naar een rondboogvormige ingang. Deze is afgesloten door een recente deur. De kelder bestaat uit een gewelfconstructie van baksteen, gedekt door aarde. De kelder is in het maaiveld deels zichtbaar.
Waardering
De ijskelder is van cultuurhistorische waarde vanwege de ontstaansgeschiedenis van de buitenplaats Heimerstein, het is van architectuurhistorisch belang vanwege het bouwtype en het is van ensemblewaarde vanwege de ligging in de bosrijke omgeving.

Description
The ICE HOUSE located on the Cuneraweg consists of an entrance situated to the side of the path against the Grebbeberg, which is recessed relative to the sloping plane. The entrance consists of two retaining walls and a staircase which leads to a semicircular arch-shaped entrance. This is closed by a recent door. The ice house consists of a vaulted brick construction, covered with earth. The ice house is partly visible at ground level.
Valuation
The ice house is of cultural-historical value because of the development history of the country estate Heimerstein, it is of architectural-historical importance because of its building type and it is of ensemble value because of its location in the wooded environment.
