Omschrijving
De SMEDERIJ is opgetrokken in gele baksteen boven een hoge plint van donkergrijze baksteen op een rechthoekige plattegrond onder een zadeldak met antracietgrijze Hollandse pannen met een overstekende goot.
De rechtgesloten vensters en deuropeningen zijn geplaatst onder hoge strekken. In de zuidelijke eindgevel en de westelijke langsgevel zijn enkele opgeklampte deuren geplaatst, in de oostelijke langsgevel een dubbele opgeklampte deur. In de eindgevels en in de oostelijke langsgevel verder verschillende formaten vensters met een kleine roedenverdeling.
Waardering
De smederij is van algemeen cultuur-, architectuurhistorisch en stedebouwkundig belang vanwege:
- vanwege de functionele en ruimtelijke relatie met de andere gebouwen van het kazerne-complex

The BLACKSMITH'S SHOP is erected in yellow brick above a high plinth of dark grey brick on a rectangular floor plan under a gabled roof with anthracite-grey Dutch tiles with an overhanging gutter.
The flush-shutting windows and door openings are placed under high spans. In the southern end facade and the western long side facade several hinged doors are placed, in the eastern long side facade a double hinged door. In the end facades and in the eastern long side facade furthermore various sizes of windows with small glazing bars.
