Omschrijving
Twee 18de-eeuwse tuinbeelden van Baumbergersteen, beide een kind -respectievelijk de Zomer (gemerkt 'FI') en de Herfst (gemerkt 'FIR')- voorstellende. Het ene kind draagt als symbool een korenschoof en de ander de hoorn des overvloeds. Beide beelden staan op 18de-eeuwse balustervormige SOKKELS die van profileringen en verdiepte velden zijn voorzien. De tuinbeelden werden in 1869 opgegraven en maakten zeer waarschijnlijk onderdeel uit van de voormalige formele tuinen bij De Wiersse. De sokkels met beelden zijn geplaatst op KORENMOLENSTENEN die bij de watermolen behoorden, die aan het begin van de 19de eeuw buiten bedrijf raakte. In 1994 zijn de beelden geïmpregneerd met behulp van de Ibachmethode.

Description
Two 18th-century garden sculptures of Baumberger stone, both depicting a child – respectively Summer (marked 'FI') and Autumn (marked 'FIR') – as symbols. One child bears a sheaf of grain and the other the horn of plenty. Both sculptures stand on 18th-century baluster-shaped PEDESTALS which are provided with mouldings and recessed fields. The garden sculptures were excavated in 1869 and very likely formed part of the former formal gardens at De Wiersse. The pedestals with sculptures are placed on MILLSTONES which belonged to the water mill, which fell out of use at the beginning of the 19th century. In 1994 the sculptures were impregnated using the Ibach method.
