Inleiding
In de noordoosthoek van de Rooms-katholieke begraafplaats gelegen toegangshek in sobere classicistische trant welk bestaat uit twee kolommen met zijhekken en een toegangshek. Deze toegang was de oorspronkelijke ingang vanaf de Zoutestraat.
Omschrijving
Toegangshek bestaande uit twee zware kolommen, opgetrokken uit gele baksteen en afgedekt door een hardstenen plaat waarop een hardstenen urn. Tussen de kolommen is een tweedelig smeedijzeren toegangshek aangebracht.
Aan weerszijden van de kolommen bevinden zich smeedijzeren zijhekken met krullen.
Waardering
Toegangshek van algemeen belang als karakteristiek, samenstellend complexonderdeel. Het is tevens van ensemblewaarde vanwege het belang voor de historische ligging van de belangrijkste grafmonumenten.

Access gate located in the north-east corner of the Roman Catholic cemetery in sober classical manner which consists of two columns with side gates and an access gate. This entrance was the original entrance from the Zoutestraat.

Access gate consisting of two heavy columns, constructed of yellow brick and topped with a hardstone slab on which sits a hardstone urn. Between the columns a two-part wrought-iron access gate is mounted.
On either side of the columns are wrought-iron side gates with scrolls.
Valuation
Access gate of general importance as a characteristic, constituent complex component. It is also of ensemble value on account of its importance for the historical location of the principal grave monuments.
