Omschrijving
ORANJERIE, behorende tot Huis Maarsbergen en gelegen ten noodoosten ervan. Gebouwd in het midden van de 19de eeuw of later in een opvallende, eclectische stijl. Smal, hoog opgaand bakstenen gebouw op rechthoekige plattegrond met risalerend middendeel en mansardedak; geschilderde gepleisterde plint. De voorgevel is symmetrisch ingedeeld door drie aaneengesloten smalle, hoge glasdeuren met halfrond bovenlicht. Samen met de hierboven geplaatste driehoekige glaswand en nok van het zadeldak wordt een arcade met dubbel driehoekig fronton gesuggereerd. Het driehoekige vlak bestaat uit glas-in-lood waarin naast elkaar vier roosvensters. Het muurvlak hierboven is met geschilderde houten latten beschoten en heeft drie kleine ronde vensters in een driehoek gerangschikt. In de zeer smalle, terugspringende traveeën aan weerszijden van het middenrisaliet staan twee boven elkaar geplaatste smalle vensters, waarvan het bovenste een glas-in-lood raam met cirkelmotief is en het onderste ongedeeld. De zijgevels zijn blind. In de achtergevel zitten twee halfrondgesloten vensters: het ene met houten luik, het andere dichtgezet. Erboven twee ronde vensters met ijzeren tracering. Voorts de sporen van een trap. Een uitwendig rookkanaal voert naar een bakstenen schoorsteen op het dak; inwendig is de stooknis nog aanwezig. De vloer van de oranjerie is belegd met grijze tegels met bij de entree een strook gekleurde siertegels.

Description
ORANGERY, belonging to Huis Maarsbergen and situated to the north-east of it. Built in the middle of the 19th century or later in a striking, eclectic style. Narrow, tall brick building on rectangular plan with projecting central section and mansard roof; painted plastered plinth. The front facade is symmetrically arranged by three adjoining narrow, tall glass doors with semicircular fanlights. Together with the triangular glass wall placed above and the ridge of the gabled roof, an arcade with double triangular pediment is suggested. The triangular plane consists of leaded glass in which four rose windows are placed side by side. The wall plane above is boarded with painted wooden laths and has three small round windows arranged in a triangle. In the very narrow, recessed bays on either side of the central risalit stand two narrow windows placed one above the other, of which the upper is a leaded glass window with circular motif and the lower undivided. The side facades are blank. In the rear facade are two semicircular-topped windows: one with wooden shutter, the other sealed. Above them two round windows with iron tracery. Further, traces of a staircase. An external flue leads to a brick chimney on the roof; internally the firebox is still present. The floor of the orangery is laid with grey tiles with a strip of coloured decorative tiles at the entrance.
