Inleiding
ONDERWIJZERSWONING annex KOSTERSWONING behorende bij het in 1963 afgebroken schoolgebouw. Het schoolgebouw werd in 1874 opgericht door de Nederlands Hervormde kerk in Eenrum. Het woonhuis voor de hoofdmeester die ook de functie van voorzanger, voorlezer en koster vervulde, is vermoedelijk iets later, rond 1875, gebouwd en opgetrokken in Eclectische stijl. Het pand is enkele keren verbouwd. De vensters aan weerszijden van de kajuit dateren vermoedelijk van na 1924. Vervolgens vonden in de jaren veertig en zeventig interne verbouwingen plaats. De aangebouwde schuur heeft na de afbraak van het schoolgebouw in 1963 zijn huidige vorm gekregen en valt buiten de bescherming van rijkswege.
De voormalige onderwijzerswoning heeft een beeldbepalende ligging aan het begin van de Hereweg die binnen de grenzen van het beschermd dorpsgezicht Eenrum ligt. Vanaf de tweede helft van de negentiende eeuw werden langs deze weg vooral voorname woonhuizen gebouwd. Samen met Hereweg 8 en 9 vormt de voormalige onderwijzerswoning de entree tot de oude wierdebebouwing van Eenrum.
Omschrijving
ONDERWIJZERSWONING annex KOSTERSWONING op rechthoekige plattegrond wordt gedekt door een afgeplat schilddak van geglazuurde donkerblauwe gegolfde Friese pannen met op elke hoek een gemetselde schoorsteen met kap. Gevels zijn opgemetseld van bruine baksteen en hebben een gepleisterde plint; op alle hoeken een bakstenen pilaster; gevels worden beëindigd door kroonlijst. Alle vensters zijn T-vensters en worden beëindigd door een korfboog. Voorgevel wordt door vier pilasters in vijf gevelvelden verdeeld; in middelste gevelveld bevindt zich een middenrisaliet; aan weerszijden hiervan, in elk gevelveld een venster. Entree bevindt zich in het middenrisaliet. In portiek beëindigd door korfboog en met panelen van pleisterwerk in zijwanden, zit een dubbele houten paneeldeur met voor deurvensters een gietijzeren sierrooster en een bovenlicht. Boven de portiek is voorgevel tot en met zolderverdieping doorgetrokken; doorgetrokken gevel heeft een balkon met houten consoles en gietijzeren balustrade; balkon heeft dubbele deuren met vensters; aan weerszijden van de deur een bakstenen pilaster en een T-venster; geheel wordt afgesloten door een korfboog. Oost- en westgevel hebben elk twee pilasters die gevel in drie gevelvelden verdelen; in elk gevelveld bevindt zich een venster. Oostgevel heeft in plint twee keldervensters, beëindigd door een korfboog en met verticale diefijzers; meest noordelijke venster is gewijzigd. Noordgevel heeft aan westzijde een venster.
INTERIEUR heeft aan einde van middengang een dubbele houten deur die vroeger toegang gaf tot de verbindingsgang naar het schoolgebouw. Omlijste dubbele deur heeft in vensters gekleurd glas; boven deur halfrond bovenlicht met roedenverdeling in zonmotief dat is ingevuld met gekleurd glas.

TEACHER'S DWELLING annex SACRISTAN'S DWELLING belonging to the school building demolished in 1963. The school building was erected in 1874 by the Dutch Reformed Church in Eenrum. The dwelling for the head teacher who also fulfilled the function of precentor, lector and sacristan, was presumably built somewhat later, around 1875, and constructed in Eclectic style. TEACHER'S DWELLING annex SACRISTAN'S DWELLING on rectangular ground plan is covered by a flattened hipped roof of glazed dark blue corrugated Frisian tiles with a brick chimney with cap on each corner. Facades are constructed of brown brick and have a plastered plinth; on all corners a brick pilaster; facades are terminated by a cornice. All windows are T-windows and are terminated by a segmental arch. Front facade is divided by four pilasters into five facade sections; in the central facade section is situated a central projection; on both sides of this, in each facade section a window. Entrance is situated in the central projection. In portico terminated by segmental arch and with panels of plasterwork in side walls, is a double wooden panelled door with in front of the door windows a cast-iron ornamental grille and a fanlight. Above the portico the front facade is extended through to the attic storey; extended facade has a balcony with wooden consoles and cast-iron balustrade; balcony has double doors with windows; on both sides of the door a brick pilaster and a T-window; the whole is terminated by a segmental arch. East and west facades each have two pilasters that divide the facade into three facade sections; in each facade section is situated a window. East facade has in the plinth two cellar windows, terminated by a segmental arch and with vertical iron bars; the most northern window has been altered. North facade has on the west side a window.
INTERIOR has at the end of the central corridor a double wooden door which formerly gave access to the connecting passage to the school building. Framed double door has coloured glass in its windows; above the door a semicircular fanlight with glazing bars in a sun motif which is filled with coloured glass.
