Inleiding
BEGRAAFPLAATSHEK op de Nederlands Hervormde begraafplaats die binnen de uitbreiding van het beschermde dorpsgezicht valt. De begraafplaats bestaat uit een rechthoekig terrein, omringd door bomen en struiken en een sloot. Een pad met aan weerszijden hoge bomen verleent vanaf de Hereweg toegang tot hek en terrein. Tevens loopt vanaf de Zuiderstraat een pad naar de begraafplaats. Naast de begraafplaats staat de bijbehorende kosters- en lijkwachterswoning uit 1927. Op het terrein bevindt zich een aantal aardige grafzerken, waaronder twee gietijzeren zerken uit 1865 en 1869 en een metalen doos met hulde aan de S.D.A.P afdeling Eenrum. Begraafplaats en kosterswoning vallen buiten rijksbescherming vanwege onvoldoende kwaliteit.
Het hek is volgens een plaatje in een van de pijlers vervaardigd door "Pletterij Den Haag", wat betekent dat het waarschijnlijk van gieterij Enthoven uit Den Haag afkomstig is.

BEGRAAFPLAATSHEK uit de tweede helft van de 19de eeuw, dat toegang verschaft tot de Nederlands Hervormde begraafplaats. Het hek bestaat uit twee gietijzeren hoofdpijlers met aan weerszijden een kleinere pijler waartussen beweegbare hekken zijn opgehangen. De ronde hoofdpijlers hebben een gedecoreerde piedestal met een gegroefde schacht en een kapiteel met vier leeuwekopjes en een kroon. Bovenop prijkt een gietijzeren dennenappel. De zijpijlers zijn geheel gegroefd en hebben tevens een dennenappel bovenop. Aan de voet van de linker zijpijler bevindt zich een ijzeren plaatje waarop staat: Pletterij Den Haag.
Het uit twee delen bestaande beweegbare hek tussen de hoofdpijlers is van smeedijzer en heeft in het midden van elk deel een gietijzeren zandloper met vleugels. Bovenin staat verspreid over beide delen in gietijzeren letters: GEDENK TE STERVEN.
De smeedijzeren hekken tussen de hoofd- en zijpijlers hebben in het midden een gietijzeren ster. Aan weerszijden van de zijpijlers een gekruld vleugelstuk met gietijzeren punten en bliksemschichten.

BURIAL-GROUND FENCE at the Dutch Reformed burial ground which falls within the extension of the protected village scene. The burial ground consists of a rectangular plot, surrounded by trees and shrubs and a ditch. A path with tall trees on either side provides access from the Hereweg to the fence and plot. A path also runs from the Zuiderstraat to the burial ground. Next to the burial ground stands the associated sexton's and grave-warden's dwelling from 1927. On the plot there are a number of attractive gravestones, including two cast-iron gravestones from 1865 and 1869 and a metal box with tribute to the S.D.A.P branch Eenrum. Burial ground and sexton's dwelling fall outside national protection due to insufficient quality.
The fence was, according to a picture in one of the pillars, manufactured by "Pletterij Den Haag", which means that it probably originates from the Enthoven foundry in Den Haag.

BURIAL-GROUND FENCE from the second half of the 19th century, which provides access to the Dutch Reformed burial ground. The fence consists of two cast-iron main pillars with a smaller pillar on either side between which moveable gates are hung. The round main pillars have a decorated pedestal with a fluted shaft and a capital with four lion heads and a crown. On top sits a cast-iron pinecone. The side pillars are entirely fluted and likewise have a pinecone on top. At the foot of the left side pillar is an iron plaque reading: Pletterij Den Haag.
The two-part moveable fence between the main pillars is of wrought iron and has in the middle of each part a cast-iron hourglass with wings. At the top, spread across both parts, in cast-iron letters: GEDENK TE STERVEN.
The wrought-iron fences between the main and side pillars have a cast-iron star in the middle. On either side of the side pillars a curled wing piece with cast-iron points and lightning bolts.
