Omschrijving
HEKPIJLERS behorende bij boerderijcomplex Pollux, bestaande uit vier pijlers die vermoedelijk uit de tweede helft van de 19de eeuw dateren. Pijlers staan op een dam over de dubbele omgrachting rondom het complex aan het einde van de oprijlaan die aansluit op de weg Zuurdijk-Warfhuizen, en verschaft toegang tot het erf. Aan weerszijden van de weg over de dam staan aan de binnenzijde een grote en aan de buitenzijde een kleine pijler. Het tussenliggende hekwerk is verdwenen. De pijlers zijn opgemetseld van rode baksteen; het basement is verdikt; pijler wordt bekroond door een vierzijdig fronton van pleisterwerk. In oostelijke grote pijler staat in het pleisterwerk 'POL' en in westelijke 'LUX'.

Description
GATE PIERS belonging to farmstead complex Pollux, consisting of four piers which presumably date from the second half of the 19th century. Piers stand on a dam over the double moat surrounding the complex at the end of the access road which connects to the road Zuurdijk-Warfhuizen, and provides access to the farmstead. On either side of the road over the dam stands on the inside a large and on the outside a small pier. The intervening gate framework has disappeared. The piers are built of red brick; the basement is thickened; pier is crowned by a four-sided pediment of plasterwork. In the eastern large pier stands in the plasterwork 'POL' and in the western 'LUX'.
