Inleiding
GARAGE MET WONING, behorende tot het complex "Eemnesserweg 37", gebouwd in 1912 als schuur en vergroot en verbouwd in 1930 tot garage met woning. Zowel het oorspronkelijke ontwerp als de verbouwing zijn van de hand van Th. Rueter.
Omschrijving
Bijgebouw (garage met woning) op rechthoekige plattegrond met een knik achter het garagegedeelte en bestaande uit twee bouwlagen onder rieten schildkap met de noklijn evenwijdig aan de weg, gesitueerd ten zuidoosten van het landhuis en via een gang daarmee verbonden. De kap welft boven de bovendorpels van de vensters en aan de zuidzijde kraagt het ver over, ondersteund door gesneden consoles. De hoog opgaande schoorsteen bevindt zich op de nok. De ramen hebben een roedenverdeling. De gevels zijn opgetrokken in rode baksteen op steenshoge uitgemetselde plint ter hoogte van de begane grond en gepotdekselde houten delen ter hoogte van de verdieping. De gevel kraagt ter hoogte van de verdieping iets uit en steunt op gesneden schoren. De gootlijst aan de westzijde steunt op gesneden consoles en schoren.
De voorgevel (Z) bevat op de begane grond iets verdiept liggend de zesdelige garagedeur met zes lichten met ijzerwerk en afgesloten door een balk met gesneden lijst. Een lantaarn is in de rechter penant bevestigd. Op de verdieping bevinden zich tien-ruitsdraairamen met tien-ruitszijramen. De linker zijgevel (W) bevat geheel rechts een natuurstenen plaat met gehouwen stuurwiel en twee vissen en "CARPE DIEM". Links daarvan is een dubbel acht-ruitsvenster geplaatst. In de knik bevindt zich een houten lattendeur met glas in uitgesneden bloemmotief en uitbundig ijzeren beslag. In de muur is een lantaarn bevestigd. Rechts van de verbinding met het landhuis bevindt zich een dubbel zes-ruitsvenster met twee-ruitsbovenlichten.
De rechter zijgevel (O) bevat op de begane grond in het linker gedeelte drie vierkante klapramen met ijzerwerk, in het rechter gedeelte een negen-ruitsvenster en een dubbel zes-ruitsvenster. Op de verdieping bevinden zich in het linker gedeelte een dubbel acht-ruitsvenster en een zes-ruitsvenster, in het rechter gedeelte een dubbel zes-ruitsvenster met twee-ruitsbovenlichten.
De achtergevel (N) bevat op de begane grond een niet originele erker, op de verdieping een dubbel zes-ruitsvenster met twee-ruitsbovenlichten.
In het interieur is in het voormalige woongedeelte de originele afwerking nog aanwezig, onder meer de betengeling in de voormalige zitkamer.

De garage met woning is van algemeen belang uit cultuur- en architectuurhistorisch oogpunt als gaaf bewaard gebleven voorbeeld van een bijgebouw in de Gooise landhuisstijl, ontworpen en verbouwd door Th. Outbuilding (garage with dwelling) on a rectangular ground plan with a bend behind the garage section and consisting of two storeys under thatched hipped roof with the ridge line parallel to the road, situated south-east of the country house and connected to it via a passage. The roof vaults above the top sills of the windows and on the south side it projects far, supported by carved consoles. The tall rising chimney is located on the ridge. The windows have glazing bars. The facades are constructed in red brick on a course-high built-up plinth at the height of the ground floor and tarred wooden sections at the height of the upper floor. The facade projects slightly at the height of the upper floor and is supported on carved braces. The gutter line on the west side is supported on carved consoles and braces.
The front facade (S) contains on the ground floor set slightly below a six-part garage door with six lights with ironwork and closed off by a beam with carved moulding. A lantern is attached to the right pilaster. On the upper floor are ten-pane sash windows with ten-pane side windows. The left side facade (W) contains on the far right a natural stone plaque with carved steering wheel and two fish and "CARPE DIEM". To the left of this is a double eight-pane window placed. At the bend is a wooden latticed door with glass in carved floral motif and exuberant iron fitting. A lantern is attached to the wall. The right side facade (E) contains on the ground floor in the left section three square casement windows with ironwork, in the right section a nine-pane window and a double six-pane window. The rear facade (N) contains on the ground floor a non-original bay, on the upper floor a double six-pane window with two-pane fanlights.
In the interior in the former residential section the original finishing is still present, among others the tilework in the former sitting room.

The garage with dwelling is of general importance from a cultural and architectural-historical perspective as a well-preserved example of an outbuilding in the Gooise country house style, designed and converted by Th.
