Het neoclassicistische GRAFMONUMENT van de familie Van Reede Ginckel is gelegen aan westzijde van het noord-zuid lopende hoofdpad. Baron van Reede Ginckel was oppermaarschalk onder Koning Willem III en door deze tot graaf van Athlone verheven.
Het monument werd ontworpen door architect C. Kramm en is rechtsonder gesigneerd. Op de achterzijde staat gegraveerd:hernieuwd 1887. Het hardstenen monument bestaat uit een voetplaat waarop een cippus op een basement is geplaatst. Het fronton is voorzienvan akroteria in de vorm van palmetten. In het gebogen timpaan is een bronzen vlinder gezet omgeven door sterren. Op de voorzijde is het familiewapen aangebracht in brons. Het schild wordt gedragen door twee klimmende griffioenen en heeft een banderol met de tekst: `Malomori quam foedari' (liever te sterven dan te worden bedoezeld).
Het graf wordt omgeven door vier hardstenen pijlers met bronzen kransen van eikebladeren en eikels. Tussen de pijlers is, met uitzondering van de voorzijde, een gietijzeren hekwerk geplaatst met een geometrisch motief waarin een rozet.
Waardering
Het grafmonument is van cultuurhistorische waarde vanwege defuneraire geschiedenis en vanwege de band van de familie Van Reede met het vorstenhuis. Het is voorts van architectuurhistorische waarde vanwege de bouwstijl. Tenslotte is het van ensemble-waarde als onderdeel van de begraafplaats.

Description
The neoclassical BURIAL MONUMENT of the Van Reede Ginckel family is situated at the west side of the north-south running main path. Baron van Reede Ginckel was supreme marshal under King William III and was elevated by him to Count of Athlone.
The monument was designed by architect C. Kramm and is signed lower right. On the rear is engraved: renewed 1887. The ashlar monument consists of a base plate on which a cippus is placed on a basement. The pediment is provided with acroteria in the form of palmettes. In the curved tympanum a bronze butterfly is set surrounded by stars. On the front the family coat of arms is applied in bronze. The shield is borne by two climbing griffins and has a banderol with the text: `Malomori quam foedari' (rather die than be defiled).
The grave is surrounded by four ashlar piers with bronze wreaths of oak leaves and acorns. Between the piers, with the exception of the front, a cast iron railing is placed with a geometric motif in which a rosette.
Valuation
The burial monument is of cultural-historical value because of funerary history and because of the bond of the Van Reede family with the royal house. It is furthermore of architectural-historical value because of the building style. Finally, it is of ensemble value as part of the cemetery.
